Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

When we bought our house, a home warranty was included (not SHW) and over the years it served its purpose, but then the service quality fell off and I looked for a new company. I did my research and chose SHW. In fact, I have two Premium policies, one for my primary residence and one for our rental. Well, this summer, our rental had problems with the AC. The company sent out by SHW said it was a freon leak, which of course is not covered. They serviced the freon (almost $500) and the following week the freon line completely broke and the entire unit had to be replaced. SHW refused to honor their warranty, again citing that the policy doesn't cover freon. But let's be serious here;... Read More

The vendor Service Tech 2000 did a fantastic job. They were on time and were very fast in taking care of our issue. In the future I will remember them for my hvac needs.

It was very pleasurable working with you staff team. Two days to get a top notch contractor to fix my plumbing and heating systems and the contractor even outlined what was wrong and how to maintain the system better for future use. He was clean, friendly and did good work.

Since I signed up with Select Home Customer Protection and platinum plan, me and my wife had nothing but great experiences. One with my water heater, one with my freezer and one with my sprinkler system. In every case the representative came to my home and fixed the problem in a quick manner.

I just cancelled my contract. Throughout the process. I was placed on hold for over an hour. I actually called using a different line and was able to track the actual hold time of my initial call. I spoke with several individuals before finally being transferred to a supervisor. This supervisor promised, just as as the others, to call me back with a resolution. Of course, just as with the others, the call never came through. After dealing with this issue for over a month, I decided it is no longer worth my time and energy to continue dealing with a group of people,in my opinion, who are unprofessional and unethical in their dealings. Overall Select Home warranty was a pleasure to deal with. From the service call to the contractor to the follow up call to make sure everything was handled correctly. I felt like someone was holding my hand through the whole process. My only issue is that some years I don't even use the warranty so I wonder if that value is there.

In both my bathrooms I had a leak. Somehow the original plumber connected them together. This cause a lot of pressure from what I understood and it took 2 days to make the adjustments.

I had an urgent matter in my house and needed a tech repair person to come and repair the problem. After I called select home and told them the issues they had someone within 4 hours! i was really happy with such a quick turn around time.
