Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

When I checked my spending on equipment repair and service charges paid in the previous year, it was an eye opener. I had paid more than 5000 grand and the work done was not to my satisfaction. I simply decided to go in for a warranty plan for one year. 2 claims in the last six months and satisfactory repairs have instilled confidence that I have taken the right step.

I had bought a complete set of new lighting fixtures for my house. For replacement I contacted them for service. The electrician was arranged and the replacement was carried out at a very nominal cost.

It cost me only US$60 for the service call charges to be paid to the visiting technician. In return I had my Sump pump and well pump back in running condition. A relay had to be replaced along with some wiring change and modification. The spare wiring and relay were available with me. All this was possible because of the home warranty contract purchased by me.

I called up the claims department to repair my standalone freezer which was not freezing the water. The technician arrived the next day and informed that the compressor had gone and needed a replacement. He issued the report with the compressor change recommendation. The approval was done instantly and the new compressor was delivered in 3 days. I had to pay for the service provided and the gas refilling. The standalone freezer delivered the ice in the morning the very next day. I am pretty happy with the home warranty.

When I did not have a home warranty, I used to pay huge sums of money to get my equipment repaired from the market. With the select's home warranty that I purchased last year, my annual savings amount to $2000. I also get the service from well trained technicians. The change has been in my favor.

Besides Greendale, I have properties in Reading MA and Rochester MN. I got a block deal signed with the home warranty company for one year. I am able to handle all the three locations through the internet. Any equipment breakdown is handled centrally and communicated to the claims department. So far so good!

The sales person coerced me into signing the home warranty contract for a year. I thought that I had done a mistake till my Roof leak problem surfaced. I had absolutely no clue on the repair methodology but the expert who attended the fault was a thorough professional and did an excellent job. I called the sales person who sold me the warranty and thanked him too.

I never knew that the machine like the clothes washer can also create problems. Water had leaked from one of the hoses and spilled on to an electric part causing a short circuit. The electrician from the home service charged $60 for service and $100 for the rubber hose and the electric relay and my clothes washer was running normally once again. I am happy that I had the platinum planin place much before the incident.

I had a bad experience when my AC failed on a hot Summer day. I had no warranty coverage then, I thus paid for the exorbitant repair charges to get it in working order again. Since then I have never failed to take an annual contract with Select Home.

When I bought the house, I had ensured that I subscribe to the 5 year platinum Home Warranty contract. I did some talking with the sales person and also explored the internet to get a good feel of this Home Service. I compared with some other companies but then zeroed on this one and it has maintained its status.
