Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I am very pleased with my home warranty as a first time home owner. The existing appliances were procured in the sale. All my claims were settled except the one which was attributed to "wear and tear."

A leaking hot water heater is the last thing I had wanted in my home. It created a wet soggy floor underneath it. Select Home warranty responded quickly when I lodged a claim. Within a few hours the deputed plumber fixed the leak and my floor was dry once again. i am satisfied with the work.

My kitchen sink has a 2" pipe and it was clogged recently. I lodged a complaint and Select Warranty was quick to send a plumber for my assistance. The drain pipe had to be replaced. The plumber had it in his kit bag and did the job without any delay. Good fruitful experience with the platinum plan.

On the recommendation of a friend I had opted for the Home Service. I have already used the service 4 times in this year. The likeable part was their professional approach and technical know-how. Their prompt replies to our queries and their follow up aided the process. I am fully satisfied with them.

Getting the garbage disposal fixed in the very first go is commendable. The reason I stick to select is for the expertise that the associated technicians possess.

When my water heater went kaput, I placed the claim immediately with the home service. The technician was on the job that day and then it was weekend. With my persistent follow up I was able to get a second technician. I had flowing hot water once again. Sometimes a rigorous follow up is required to get the work done.

My Dryer was not working and I called up selecthome. They called back to check for certain details which I willingly provided. I was surprised to see how quickly the technician was able to solve the problem and my dryer was fit and fine. The home warranty has thus taught us the importance of proper communication.

I had spent quite a sum on my leaking bathtub before someone guided me to this home warranty company. Armed with the contract, I raised a claim when the bathtub leaked again. The plumber, who came in, spent about half an hour to diagnose what was repeatedly causing the leakage. I must acknowledge his technical skill because after his repair the bathtub has not leaked again.

This is a rotten company that has no intention in reimbursing their customers. Be aware that they require 3 years of maintenance records on your home appliances which is virtually impossible if you have recently purchased your home. They also have the worse contractors who will not call you back for several days. I had an AC stop working in 100 degree heat and it took them 2 days to even call to set up a time. Terrible company. Snakes!

The platinum plan allows you to hire your own technician with intimation to them. You are however required to pay him upfront on the completion of the job to your satisfaction. This does pinch a bit but you get reimbursed in a short period. Sometimes I do prefer to hire my own experts.
