Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

They require three years of maintenance history. They did not cover any repairs over $400. If minor repairs is what u need this is the company but this is not a company that would cover Ac condenser replacement or water heater replacement. The supervisors are very rude and trained to not pay for needed repairs. They do everything from hanging up on customers to lying and miss leading them. Stay way! Even if it means paying more for another company. I made the mistake of buying a 2 yr plan. Once you pay for it you will not get a refund.

Terrible. I have a 10 year old rental property. Bought this policy in August after I had a problem with my water heater and had it fixed before I bought the policy. The water heater this month February went bad again. Submit a claim with detect home warranty and they decline the claim. Why buy a warranty policy?

The worst home warranty you can ever buy. The whole company is terrible. I have been trying to get my hot water tank fixed for three months, and it hasn't happened yet. They are untrustworthy. I'm about to report the company to the BBB.

I filed a claim to Select Home Warranty by phone for a washing machine repair. I usually get contacted by their technician within 24 hours and so far, they’ve been very courteous and very responsive. Their work has been very acceptable.

The last claim I filed to Select Home Warranty was about the air conditioner. I do it online all the time and their process was very easy. Their technician usually calls me within 24 hours. They were very good and their service has all been wonderful. I recommend them frequently.

This worst warranty company experience. I had problem for my dish washer then Technician came home and Order parts then He told me that company does not cover Labor and He want me pay $ 250.00 labor, So before any one buy this company warranty please check it out. They said on Phone different when If any problem then they said did you read our service contract. PLEASE NAVER BUY THIS COMPANY WARRENTY.

Select Home Warranty is refusing to replace my AC unit based on improper installation which was done by one of their contracted companies 12/16/16 Select Home sent out Gillard Heating and Air company and the technician advised he replaced the transformer and turned the thermostat on then it blew so he replaced it again. He advised he didn't have a thermostat handy so I'd need to have Select assign the job to someone else since he was going out of town. 12/26/16 Select sent out HCEC group and this technician advised the transformer was improperly installed and in addition to that my unit should be replaced as it is 22 years old. They should change their name to SlimeBall Home Warranty. My claim required quick attention, but they couldn't find any service company willing to take the job. They authorized me to hire someone for up to $100. Since the job required more, I had to call contractor authorization agent. I received authorization and was told to go ahead; an email would follow. Four hours later, a "supervisor" called and denied the authorization. I told him to review the tape of the call; he ignored it and said they would not honor the claim. This the second time they have pulled this. AVOID THEM! In my opinion, they're a scam.

I call Select Home Warranty and someone comes out here. They assess what is wrong, and if they can fix it, they fix it. It's not like they will go out and then come back and then there's a different charge. I'm satisfied with them.

The service we received from the Select Home Warranty contractor was great. He was on time and efficient. Our microwave was repaired with original parts and in a very professional manner.
