Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

my a/c blew out last week and it was so hot out! I called SHW right away and they found a contractor in my area to come out quickly. The contractor was able to fix my a/c the same day. I am so happy.

I had this for 2 yrs. I also included our sump pump. I took the best plan. I purchased this at the time we purchased our house. Our sewer pump went out, and we found it when it first happen. I called and put in a report and let them know it was urgent (this was Thur). The girl on the phone said would have someone call right away, but no one did. Fri I called again (as basement was taking on water. Again I told her it was flooding, and she again told me they would get someone out, but no call. Sat I called again, and was upset. The contractors arrived on time, completed the work/evaluation efficiently, and kept me informed throughout the time that was there about what they were doing and what the next steps were. I really appreciate the information they gave me as it helped me understand what was happening.

I have had two claims in the past year of 2016. I had a noisy HVAC. It took Two days of back an forth phone calls just to start the process of getting a provider out to my house. Then after getting the estimate for the repair, it still took another few days, just to tell me they were only covering up to $200 of the $500 repair, because I did not have a history of regular maintenance on my HVAC. At the same time the provider had no idea if I was paying him or Select Home Warranty. Another 3 weeks went by, with confusion and just plain "disappearance" of the provider. HORRIBLE Sales Person. Called me 3 times - hung up and then said the phone wasn't connecting in - which it was - leads me to believe they have a sales quota. When I explained their rate was high he said he could better that which I was willing to listen to. However, I live in one side of my duplex & rent the other. Therefore he explained I would be required to have & pay for two policies. When I said I was with another company currently (did not say who) he immediately assumed it was another that I'm not with and began bashing that company. I have had Select Home Warranty for about a year now. Since purchasing my warranty i have filed a total of 2 claims. One for my washing machine and the other was for my a/c. Each time the claim was handled professionally. The technicians who were sent were knowledgeable and were quick to repair my appliances. I could not be more pleased with the services provided thus far.

My 1st claim for my ac; No one called me back to come out and fix. I had it repaired on my own. I'm currently on hold on a sat morning for 18 min for my 2nd attempt at a claim. The recording claimed that the 1st wait time was 4 min. I was put back on hold and the wait time stated 10 min. This is sad. This is not poor management. This is neglect. You pay up front for the discount. Once Select has your money, there's no reason to deliver. Smart scam. 21 min. Still no answer.

I am a Realtor and signed up for Select Home Warranty. Do not use thisc ompany! I called in my first work order on MONDAY the company never had anyone call me until Wednesday. My washer was putting out smoke and water on Monday. When the repair man called me on late Wednesday, he informed me that the company should have someone from Fort Myers, because I live in the Cape. He never came out to look at my washer. I made many phone calls to the company. My garage door stopped working suddenly so I called to make a claim, scheduling someone for a repair took almost 2 weeks.. I paid the $60 service fee for a technician to come and fix it, and they denied me telling me it was installed incorrectly even though I'd paid hundreds for a professional installation a few years ago. And now, even though the technician told me it had been installed incorrectly, they are trying to say it was the breaker that shorted, and that I need an electrician sent out for another $60. When our heater stopped working, I called Select Home Warranty and through the automated system, a contractor called me back in just a few hours. The contractor responded quickly and was able to fix the problem. I am happy with the results and it reinforced my decision of keeping a home warranty.
