Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

This is the worse home warranty company that you can ever have. The billing staff is rude and so is the claims status. They will try all aspects for like weeks to delay your claim. If they send they will send a the cheapest technician. I have had such a bad experience with claim and escalation that its just worth the cheap price that they offer. Pay $50 more and go with some other company.

This is by far the worst home warranty company out there. Take a look at the numerous complaints filed by the Better Business Bureau. They use sub-standard vendor to come out to your home, many learn from the internet, as they tell you. This is not the qualified technician I want fixing anything in my home. I have had some come out and don't even get their tools, just tell you nothing is wrong and collect their money and go. Find a better company, I did.

My contractor showed up on time and quickly diagnosed and repaired my washer. I have had this same contractor previously. Each time, he arrives within the timeframe agreed, is always professionally dressed and makes recommendations on how to extend the life of my appliances.

Select Home Warranty is great. Recently, we had an issue with our hot water heater. My husband contacted SHW and right away, a local plumber was giving us a call. We recommend SHW to our friends and continue our contract each year, Thanks.

We've only had one claim, which was when our toilet was not working correctly. I called Select Home Warranty and they sent someone over within the day. We were able to fix the problem and I've not had any issues since.

Horrible to deal with. The evaporator coil on my AC went out my AC is 16 years old. The tech put in the paperwork it was leaking freon so they refuse to pay. It's leaking freon because the evaporator coil went out. All they have to do is say the word Freon and deny the claim. Not the reason why it's leaking. I will find another home warranty as soon as this one expires.

I would not recommend Select Home Warranty to anyone. I had 4 claims and not one was paid. They charged me $375 for the policy and I still had to pay to repair my refrigerator, hot water heater, air conditioner and furnace. They're a scam. Don't waste your money.

Select home warranty (SHW) service is horrible... The company is a joke... DO NOT waste your money. We bought a house, and we picked this company. I talked to customer services; they promised me that the warranty cover everything... two weeks after closing; I called the company to see that everything is ok, and they said yes. They offered me to 18 more months for 250... I thought OK. Two months later started the show. With all this rain, we found a roof leak, it was quite small... but I thought cool it is cover by the home warranty. When I made the claim. They took 1 month to send a company to make a quote. I called at least 10 times, and their answer was, we cannot contact... Read More

By far the worst customer service I have experienced amongst all companies to date! Before you read the details below I want to make some pointers for all who don’t like long reviews. 1) Worst customer service 2) Contract is totally lop-sided to their own benefit. 3) Cancelation works in their favor and not customers as they collect most of the money in the initial months. 4) Rude, obnoxious reps on the phone. 5) Please read the fine print carefully as most basic parts of appliances are not covered. 6) Don’t expect to receive any refunds/pro rated cancelation payments from them as I never did! 7) Policy Cancelation at any time is $125 no matter whose fault.
