Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

The CSR, Elmo, that took my call and was very nice and helpful. I had called about my dishwasher. He was very prompt with verifying my information and taking notes. As soon as I got off the call, I had already received an email stating a technician will be reviewing the claim and will be in contact.

I did not have to wait long to talk to a representative (under 2 minutes) which is unusual during the COVID-19 pandemic. The issue is a clogged drain, & I was informed that the usual lead time is 24-48 hours to have the contractor contact me. If the lead time was not so long, I would rate 5 stars.

They had no service providers in this area even really to work with them! They left me in the heat for 1 week temp as high as 83 during the day with AC running

The worst company ever. When my fridge broke, I requested a service on May 22, 2020. Select assigned it to Absolute Appliance on Thursday May25. Absolute scheduled a service for Monday, May 29. I waited this lengthy process with patience. On Monday I waited the whole day for the contractor to show up. I even called multiple times with no answer at all. The next day on May 30, I have received email to rate the service which I haven't got. I called Absolute and I was told they will get back to me they investigate. I haven't heard since then. I honestly don't have any more time to give to this company, so I will keep it short here and move on. DO NOT PROTECT YOUR HOME WITH SELECT HOME WARRANTY!!! I had two homes with them protected for 3 years and had to cancel both after a year when I realized nothing is going to change with them. They will give you more headaches than peace of mind when it's time to filing a claim or reimbursement. Worst off, it that when I called to cancel, they kept hanging up the call on me, I had to call multiple times, they refused to disclose my refund balance and said a billing agent will follow up with me later.
