Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Please do not waist your money, this company is terrible! Not only that all customer service is out in Patagonia somewhere, but you have to wait 30 minutes to as long as an hour for them to answer a simple call. When they answer, your problem is not solved and you ask to talk to a supervisor they say “we have no supervisors available, they are on other calls”. When you state that you have time to wait until a supervisor is available, they say” we cannot wait with you on hold because we need to serve other customers”. This is awful customer service! I'm sorry to say they are SCAMMERS. Paid upfront 3 year package and first time using them they questioned every item, approval took long time causing vendor to come back days later, costing me out of pocket $$$ fee to vendor and not being reimbursed by Select. They do not pay out or give you market value should something be unfixable. Customer Service says sorry, oh we feel your pain....but there is noting they can do..hands tied by management . Long wait times, unethical in doing business. Shysters as we say back east.

The service and coverage of these policies is HORRENDOUS. I submitted a claim for a water heater leak- DENIED because of fine print. Toilet leak- DENIED because of fine print. A/C not cooling- Max $150 dollar coverage approved, which was pennies compared to the cost of the repair after they charged me a $70 contract fee and a $60 service call fee, so their coverage barely covered the cost of just getting a technician to come see it! They take FOREVER to review the claims (1 month+), drag you through endless additional requirements like pictures, service records, dragging the process further. I was without A/C for 1 month begging them to process a claim that they limited to $150. You... Read More

This company is a complete scam. Do not give them any money for a home warranty policy. They sell it as a complete service with a repair/replacement guaranteed without paying more than the service call. Once you have a claim on a repair, they deny part of the claim saying they don't cover any labor portion. They point you to section 8.iii of your contract that states installation is not covered by SHW. 8.3iii is actually written to state what happens if you have an irreparable appliance (mine is reparable). Ureliable company. Select Home Warranty does not protect the clients' information . They do not respect confidentiality or respec privacy. I've received tons of emails and unsolicited phone calls from their promoters offering me other services once I contracted them. I am sorry to have shared my personal information with them. they are not serious. This company does not respect clients and I am concerned about where they have sent my information. I DO NOT RECOMEND TO CONTRACT THEM

My first contact with Select was on 5/27/20 to file a claim. I can say my experience with them has been terrible. You get a call center in the Philippines, they quote from script. They stated it would take 24-48 to locate a contractor, on 5/29/20 still no contractor ,so they advised me I could find my own and I could be reimbursed, as long as contractor called and received authorization for the repair . Well on Saturday 5/30/20 contractor came and we called guess what the authorization section was gone not sure for the day or they don't work weekends, either way I had no air in Arizona an it is now 3 days later . First claim and it was with ac not working. Selected your technician who immediately upon inspecting outside unit said coil was bad and leaked the gas and oil out causing system to fail. R and A Cooling wrote it up as a electrical failure. What warranty people say is it was electrical failure and we don't cover that. All ac units are electrical so this warranty is useless. Best part is I have Selects ac installers emailing telling me claim was denied a day before Select denied it. Kinda odd and fishy that they knew and were trying to sell their product.
