Our Overall Rating: 4.4 / 5 (Excellent)

ServicePlus is unusual for having two pre-packaged plans that each cover a mix of systems and appliances. Optional coverage outside the standard plans is available for a wide range of home features.

The company's Platinum plan stands out for covering two heating and air condition systems, which can be helpful for homeowners of duplexes or homes where there are more than one type of heating system, e.g. baseboards in the kitchen and forced hot air elsewhere.

At a flat rate service fee of $75 per service call, the company falls in line with other warranty companies when it comes to deductibles. Customers can file claims 24/7 by telephone or online through the company's portal.

ServicePlus publishes a sample contract online and a thorough explanation of what is covered under its two plans. We recommend that potential customers thoroughly read their contract to understand coverage limits, policies on pre-existing problems with covered items, and other important issues.

ServicePlus offers two types of plans: Gold and Platinum.

Both of these have a series of optional add-ons, such as pools, spas, central vacuum, limited roof leaks, and septic systems, to name a few. Their pre-packaged plans can therefore be expanded to suit every homeowner's needs.

No home inspection is required to purchase a policy. Appliance and system coverage is guaranteed regardless of age, make, or model. However, maintenance records are required for service and the company has a pre-existing condition policy which is unusual in the industry and may limit coverage.

I have had nothing but trouble with this Home Warranty. I had First American Home warranty for over 6 yrs and never had the problems with it that I have had with the company. One of my three properties, is in a somewhat remote area. So finding service providers is a problem. I had a toilet leaking, took 5 days to find out there were no service people in their network. I was told to get my own, and they would pay it. Of course, that never happened. The latest was a heating system, coil had broke. The Technician spent 3 days trying to get in touch with them. Finally when he did the advisor from Total Home kept putting words in his mouth. Said the problem came from corrosion, Even... Read More

My garage door motor broke last week, I immediately called Total home protection to ensure it is covered under my warranty. The Representative was polite and professional . The repairman came over the next day. Now my motor was fixed and I only paid my deductible. The best coverage out of all the companies that I researched.

Yesterday, I went to use my bathtub for the first time since it’s been fixed and it was amazing. Since moving into my new home, I had issues with the Whirlpool so I never got a chance to use it, but a few weeks ago, I finally called Total Home Protection to get it fixed. The repairman was able to locate the problem area immediately and correct it so that the jets would function again. I’m extremely pleased that I now have access to my tub. I was concerned that I’d have to replace it but luckily, that wasn’t the case. I am highly impressed with Total Home Protection so far and am happy to write a positive review for them. They treat their customers well...they are affordable...and the... Read More

Shower in bathroom started malfunctioning, I found that something was wrong with the piping. My husband called Total Home Protection that morning and by the next morning, we had someone at our place working on the pipe. The courteous technician they sent over was well-equipped for the job.. We trust we won’t need to have the piping fixed again, yet in the event that we do we realize that everything will be dealt with expertly. I highly recommend them. They offer quality service.

These guys did a great job last month when my dishwasher broke in my apartment. Their customer service was excellent from the minute I contacted them. The repairman they sent out quickly to fix the unit was on time and very knowledgeable. He was unable to fix it, but was able to return two days later with a replacement piece that did the job. They did a great job and things are back up and running. Recommend.

I spent so much money on outfitting my home it almost seemed ridiculous to not have any kind of coverage, but I thought I wouldn’t be able to afford anything worthwhile. Luckily, I found this company and they’re honestly willing to work with you and your budget without making you feel like you’re too limited in your options. Happy to say that I have a warranty with Total Home Protection that I am very proud of.

I’m always looking for a deal and I’ve had my warranty here for a while, but I still like to check around to compare pricing for repairs. When I purchased my home, there was a built-in microwave, which I personally think is tacky but I decided to keep it. Well...it broke shortly after move-in. After getting ridiculous quotes from repair companies in the area, I stuck with Total Home Protection to get the job done. There is no doubt that they’re good at what they do and offer their services for a great price. The microwave is fixed and as long as I have my warranty, I guess I’ll keep it.

If you actually compare the amount of money and time you spend on repairs through paying a guy, looking for a guy, waiting for a guy, etc, it makes sense to just get a home warranty. That’s what I did. It was more of a safety net for me because honestly, I haven’t used to much this year. However, I enjoy knowing that it’s there if I need it.

The neighborhood I wanted to purchase a home in is filled with older, charming homes. Unfortunately, the older a home is the more potential there is for something to go wrong. I purchased a home warranty from Total Home Protection to make sure if anything went wrong I would be covered. I feel good about this decision.
