Cancellation Policy

1. You may void this Agreement within 30 days of the coverage effective date for a full refund of the contract fees paid if no claim has been made. The right to void this Agreement as provided in this paragraph is not transferable. A ten percent penalty per month will be added to any refund required under this paragraph, including any accrued penalties, that is not paid or credited within 30 days after termination of this Agreement pursuant to this paragraph. 2. You may cancel this Agreement within 30 days of the coverage effective date if a claim has been made, or at any time thereafter, at which time you may be entitled to a refund of unearned contract fees paid based on the short rate schedule less a processing fee of twenty-five dollars ($25) and less the cost of any services performed pursuant to the Agreement, where permitted by law. If the refund calculation results in you owing us payment for services provided, we may bill you for the lesser of the net amount due to us or the unpaid annual term contract fee. We will bill or charge you any balance owed to us through the same mechanism as any previous installment billings, or we will direct bill you if such a mechanism is not available. 3. We may terminate this Agreement immediately, after any applicable notice provisions, for non-payment, fraud or material misrepresentation. If we terminate for fraud or material misrepresentation, this Agreement is void and we shall refund all paid contract fees if no claims have been made. If a claim has been made, we will follow normal cancellation procedures as outlined in this section.

If I could leave a 0, I would . When we first bought this warranty over 10 years ago, it was under another name. Every since they changed, the service went up $40 in one year and now that we need our AC and furnace replaced, there seems to be a problem. They sent us a contracted technician that didn't write up the whole job, and then want to change us an upgrade fee for $900 for replacing only the AC. They were going to pay him $450 for putting it in, so where does the upgrade come in. Sounds to me like I'm paying for a new AC. This is our last year with this company. I would like to give this company a new name, "No Protect". I have been a customer for over a year. We have been satisfied with the service somewhat; plus we are not picky anyway. This is also the first time I have posted anything negative online and open Yelp account because I do believe in giving grace to people or, this time, a company. However, after many hours, calls, and my time spent (free to Total Protect). My patience has run out and Total Protect got this honor. On 6/10/20, I have requested a service for a washing machine. Avoid this company like the plague. We are now on our third month without a dishwasher. The company has sent two different low-level contractors to our home (both of them told us upfront that “they don’t work on Bosch stuff”). Customer Service will never let us speak with a supervisor, or they lie to us and say “the supervisor just tried to call you.” The customer service is a complete disaster RUN.

As a rule they have been a great company they have denied to cover water heater 3/2020 no hot water till 6/2020 had to go another route $125.00 is deductible. More recent my garage door opener by saying installed wrong that absolutely was not the truth replaced door and coils in 2017 it now 7/2020 door working intermittent came out 6/11/20 and 6/15/20 Job # SCCN61EC1868 Dependable Door Systems who Total Protection gave me to call. Bottom line is not installed incorrectly at any time been in my home since 2007 they just did not want to cover it. The problem was the logic board period nothing to do with being installed incorrect period

this company has failed to fix my air conditioiner as of 7/21/2020. Thinks to watch out for there repair companies, in this case TK Mechanical services LLC sent me a email invoice , of $989.95 to be payed before they will do any work. These are the charges Total Protect seems to not cover in doing repairs. I know the policy is cheap but save yourself from being disappointed and upset when you have to make a claim. DO NOT BUY. I was scammed out of $900. Please do not fall for the same thing I did. They make suffer by waiting a week only to tell you the appliance is not covered. They will promise you the world but give you nothing. I encourage others to report them to the BBB.

I have been with Total Protect Home Services for…over 10 years but it used to be called ResidentialMD. ResidentialMD was amazing. I still have the same Customer number but the names of the company has changed a few times. This Total Protect Home Services under Cinch Home Services located in Boca Raton, FL - is HORRIBLE!!! I have never been so dissatisfied even though I've had Services denied in the past. Note: I have not needed the company for (I think) about 3 years but boy have they gone downhill since my last time using them. ONE STAR IS TOO MUCH!!!! I’ve had Total Protect home warranty for 12+ years and have had a few claims that have been resolved successfully. However, my furnace went out a few weeks ago and it has yet to be repaired. It’s cold out. We need a fully functional furnace. I keep getting the royal run around when I inquire with Total Protect and their local contractor (Snow Frosty Heating and Air”.) They we’re quick to collect my deductible but I haven’t seen them since. The current status of my claim for over a week is “Parts are being ordered”. Not ordered, shipped or delivered. Being Ordered. I do not recommend this warranty company. They did not reimburse me for my AC unit. I contacted them before my contractor installed my unit. They said I did not contact before my unit was installed. They lied.. I did not get reimbursed for the cost that was covered under my contract.
