My mother died within a month or two of renewing an annual contract with Bay Alarm Medical. When I called about cancelling service, I was told I would continue to be billed until the unit was replaced and that I had until the end of July next year to return it. I asked if I needed to send a copy of death certificate & was told no. Then, I received a letter in the mail telling me to return the unit so charges would not accumulate after July 2017 & that I should include a copy of the death certificate with the unit. This occasioned another call to ask if I should fax the death certificate since I'd already dispatched the unit. No, I was told, that's not necessary. I then received an e-mail... Read More

While the people in the monitoring center are very friendly, I find it most frustrating that the tech support center is only open during the hours of 8-5pm. I recently had our base unit stop working in the evening and could not reach anyone to resolve the problem until 8am the next morning. When I asked the monitoring center if there was any emergency number to call, they had no clue.

I have not had to use the system yet. So, I can not say how good it works. I did accidentally trigger the alarm and heard the voice on the voice alert box. I responded that it was not an emergency and to ignore the alert. But, like I said I have not actually used the system. So, I can not honesty say whether the systems works as far as a real emergency where emergency personnel were sent to my home.

I have not had to use this service yet but I've test checked it three times since receiving the unit am I am very pleased to note their prompt response to my call for help. In no case did it take longer than a minute for someone to respond to my call for Aid.

We moved from trying to get set up first with another company and fed up thought we would try Bay Alarm. What a difference! We received our equipment quickly and it was so easy to set and was working immediately. We were relieved that we had our safety net now. Ty!!

I have just received mine and am wearing it for the first week. We checked other services and my son felt this system is the best for me as I just lost my husband and am very active in my church and want to stay in my home. I hit the help button once by mistake and the gentleman on your end was caring and wanted to make sure that I was ok and not in trouble. We are all concerned for I have a lot of Arthritis and am prone to falls. Thank you for your service. Dorothy C.
