No wonder they aren't BBB accredited. I can't believe this company. HORRIBLE. They straight up don't include very important details of the process in the contract, and then hide behind that everything is "just an estimate". When I complained, they even acknowledged that they withhold the information in the contract - how is this a legal contract if they aren't being honest and transparent in it?! I was told my move would take 7-11 days. 8 days after my furniture was picked up, I got a call saying that my move would likely take another 30 days. Making the "estimate" jump from 7-11 to 38 daty- what a great "estimate" they gave to get me to sign on the dotted line! When I spoke to customer... Read More
These guys were very pleasant, professional and detailed oriented They work very hard and fast. I was very stressed out with moving but the way these guys worked made less so. I would highly recommend these gentle men to anyone who is moving and need packers/movers.
THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!! My elderly parents needed to move to Denver for medical treatment, and this business must have realized that they could scam two elderly people who are medically frail, and they did. I arranged the move, was quoted $2346.98, total ended up being 3758.00, a huge price difference, but they did not tell me this until they had already loaded my parents possessions on their truck. I immediately called the company and no one answered. I asked the three gentleman to unload the belongings as the price difference was too much. They refused. What was I supposed to do? DO NOT USE CROSS COUNTRY MOVING GROUP or STOP AND MOVE. I received a quote from Glenn Fitzgerald with an assurance that it was not a low quote with an upcharge later. He sent an email calling out that his quote was accurate to my list and they don't upcharge. Lie. The company they sub'd to is called Stop and Move. They called me the day before pickup and said that it would be double the price. Cross Country Move has my list of items and nothing had changed. The moving company was rude and said that they just wouldn't show. Of course, they know you are in a bind with no other movers who are able to respond that quickly. So I bit the bullet and decided to have my car shipped from San Diego to Nashville instead of driving. My pickup window was Wednesday or Thursday but I was told they’d be in contact Monday or Tuesday to tell me the exact date and time (red flag btw.... get a company who will give you more notice). After not hearing anything Monday, I call them Tuesday morning. They tell me they don’t have someone available now but don’t worry, they’ll find someone. Wednesday, my first available pickup date, I call them again. Now I’m told it’s unlikely they’ll find a carrier but they’re happy to refund my deposit. How is that helpful? I got a quote from cross country moving group for a move from Oregon to Connecticut this company picked up my stuff october 29th and delivered dec 18th, thats 49 days. They quoted me 21 business days . There were some items missing and some damage. Emails to the company have gone unanswered. Dont know what else to say besides I will never use this moving company again or any other moving company for that matter as it would simply be faster and cheaper to pile all my furniture in the driveway, burn it and buy all new stuff after.
This company is a scam. Bait and switch on contract said one thing and contract quoted different rate. Showed up with not enough room in truck and left on the day of move. Do not use this service.
I moved from Boston to Scottsdale, Arizona. My stuff took 62 days to arrive. That should really tell you all you need to know, but if you want a good laugh, there's more. When I booked the salesman promised me he'd never seen it take longer than 15 days. He gave me his "personal cell number" should I have any problems. Yea that wasn't a real number. Not only that, when you book with this company, they are not the ones moving your stuff - they contract it out to a third party. In my case, that third party NEVER answered the phone. Broken down, they are an amazing 4.5/5 across the board in terms of Services offered, coverage area/company type, and reputation, easily making them one of the go-to long-distance moving services in the country! Excellent customer customer service. Moving cross the country can be really hard and takes up a lot of time but you guys have made it extremely easy. This has been my least stressful move yet.
