Overall Rating: 3.4 / 5 (Very good)

WebWatcher is an excellent parental monitoring app, allowing parents to monitor a device discretely from a secure online account. It is compatible with all 5 key operating systems (Android, iOS, PC, Mac & Chromebook). WebWatcher's stand-out feature is its Alert Log tool. This feature scans all recorded data and uses proprietary filters to identify and highlight items deemed to be risky behavior. Parents receive real-time alerts of all identified risky behavior, which means they can focus their attention on only important items. All recorded data is available for review at any time, but it is up to the parent to decide how much they want to see. The company also offers 24/7 customer service via phone, e-mail and live chat, to ensure the best experience for their customers.

WebWatcher Features & Services

Features & Services - 4.8 / 5

WebWatcher records text and private messaging content, social media, web browser history and searches, photos, GPS locations visited and more. For Android, PC, Mac, and Chromebook, parents will be able to view data in real time. For iPhone, it sends information once a day to the parent's user interface. WebWatcher provides monitoring for multiple social media apps, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Kik, Viber, and, unlike competitor apps, dating website Tinder. The app uses algorithms that automatically scan children's digital activity for risky terms that can lead to problematic issues. This enhanced feature allows parents to focus on only relevant items and is especially useful for parents who do not have time to review all data or wish to respect privacy boundaries.

Be aware of this company and it's "risk free" trial. They will try every trick not to refund your money if it does not work. If you have a device with 2 factor authentication enabled, the software will not install. And with new iOS devices you can't disable 2fa.

Webwatcher is a good tool for tracking your child's online activity on their smartphone. I am monitoring my son's Android and Webwatcher catches whatever text messages he receives on whatsapp and viber.

Please please beware! Many of these reviews are fake or manipulated by WebWatcher. Their risk-free trial is not risk-free at all. They force you to pay up front and then keep your money because their actually policy is you cannot cancel and get your money back unless you are able to meet this impossible set of criteria. Please be careful of their shady advertising and business practices and go elsewhere!

Do not waste your time or money!!! The product does not work as advertised and the customer service is awful!!! No one speaks english and they do not really care to help. They just keep telling you to back up the device and everything will work. Not true!!!

BUYER BEWARE! I began using this program with the 7 day free trial. It did not function as I had hoped (or advertised) so I canceled within my 7 day trial period. They told me that they successfully cancelled my subscription but that they were still keeping my $129.96. The reason they gave was they it did perform as advertised. I can assure you we were NOT READING THE SAME ADVERTISING!

DON'T PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! They are a scam company. The product doesn't work as advertised and when you try and get a refund they always claim you didn't follow their return policy. Even if you follow it and can prove you did, they will deny your return. Or offer you a partial return. Please search the BBB and online resources to see what others really think about this product and company. If you have issues report them to the BBB and Connecticut Attorney General. They delete most negative comments. SCAM!!!

Read the fine print! Buyer beware!! I bought into it and saw the “guarantee”. But when I couldn’t get the program to work, and spent more than an hour on chat with tech support, I requested a refund. They REFUSED stating that I needed to give them full remote access. I would not give them full remote access due to information on my laptop I can not chance exposing due to my job. I had to go to the Better Business Bureau and they still refused a refund. So I paid roughly $130 for a year subscription that I can’t use and the company could care less. HORRIBLE customer service other than they “politely” tell you “no refund”. Steer clear! It sounds like a great parental control app, but for... Read More

I feel taken advantage of. The website said "discreet" and "risk free" implying that you could get your money up. I signed up for $39.95, started the process and discovered that I would have to physically get my daughter's phone and plug it into my computer for this to be set up! That is not discreet! I decided I wasn't ready to start this fight yet, so I immediately tried to cancel, within hours of purchase having not set anything up. I called the next morning and re-submitted a request. The response was a screen print of their very buried refund policy where they basically don't give refunds for any reason. I basically just gave them $40 for nothing as I can't use this at all. I...
