Pets Best provides pet owners with a lot of latitude in selecting the right coverage for their pet and the best plan for their budgets. Its plans are quite comprehensive and comparatively low-cost.

The company offers two benefit limit choices: $5000 or unlimited. We prefer plans that offer the option of unlimited coverage, particularly when adding it doesn't drive costs sky-high. That's the case with Pets Best.

Pets Best has no age restriction; they will cover dogs and cats regardless of how old they are. The company does not exclude cruciate ligament issues so long as they occur after a 6-month waiting period. That's a significant competitive advantage for owners of dogs susceptible to that type of illness. In addition, plans include coverage for accidental dental and some dental illnesses.

I picked this insurance because of the promise of easy and timely claims process. They took my money quickly but paying out a easy wellness claim turned into a nightmare. They tried to say the claim was a medical claim because I spoke to the vet about food that was giving my dog diarrhea. I had submitted the claim for the hw/flea meds and fecal exam not because of diarrhea/illness. They took upon themselves to change the claim to medical without my knowledge and kept extending the processing time. Wellness claim are supposed to take 3-5 to process. I had a little 4 year old Maltese who died of a congenital heart defect. I had the very best plan for him and Pets Best were wonderful in handling my claims. I had a 90% pay out with a $250.00annual deductible. Their customer service was wonderful and very caring. I have highly recommended this company to friends. I'm in the process of getting a new little Maltese Poodle and will have another policy for him.

I have had Pet's Best for 11 years. They have always been extremely helpful and paid claims quickly. I had to have back surgery on my golden and they paid the total maximum of $5,000.00. I have never found them hard to work with and they are very helpful when you talk with them about premiums and what the best choice would be for what you are looking for.

All of my experiences with Pet's Best have been superior. They reimburse within a week (direct deposit), and have covered treatment for hyperthyroid cure (YES! CURE! not maintenance with meds) and all tests and x-rays that were required in order to be approved by the clinic for the I-131 treatment. Subsequent bi-monthly bloodwork required for a year as followup to the I-131 treatment (at $255.00 per test) were paid at 90%, as were non-related emergency room visits. Because the hyperthyroidism was masking (or perhaps contributing to) chronic kidney disease, they also pay for fluids which i inject under the skin on a daily basis (100ccs per day). Pets Best has been a remarkable insurance company for our pet pug. Their integrity, knowledge and outstanding service easily secures the top of the list space as our number one all star in the pet insurance business. The web site is the BEST we have used when submitting claims and asking questions. We LOVE this company!! Cannot say enough about them. Go ahead and do your research! Check out other companies when comparing the age of your animals. Pets Best will always come out ahead!!!

I have always had good service and great reimbursement with this insurance. The most important thing to note, when you are filling out your paperwork, is the reason why you are bringing your pet in. I was able to get reimbursed because our dog was acting sluggish, not eating, not jumping around like she usually does. Even though the vet did not find anything critically wrong with her, they still reimbursed me for the visit. It was very easy to upload the bill online and I was reimbursed very quickly. I have both of my pets covered through this carrier and I have had excellent service in the 10 plus years that we have had it.

Awesome! Customer service here is amazing. I had Pets Best insurance for my cat for many years and they always took care of everything seamlessly. From answering phone calls and questions to paying out claims quickly and without hassle, the people here got it done well. When my kitty passed away, they cancelled the policy retroactively to her passing date, they OFFERED to pay for the euthanasia service (did not even know this was covered), sent me a condolence email and a card in the mail. The people here care about you and your pets. Highly, highly recommend. Always a positive experience. Thank you Pets Best!

I have only wonderful experiences with Pet's Best. My dog was diagnosed with a thyroid condition at age 3 and needed several tests and then medication for the rest of his life. He is doing great! Pet's Best covered 80% of testing and medications. I have direct deposit with them. They email me within a day of receiving the claim and I am reimbursed within one week. My veterinarian faxes the statement of services to them. Then. more recently there was a possibility of cancer. It was a very scary experience to say the least! Initially I was very pleased. My dog was sick for 6 months with diarrhea and eventually anorexia. Test after test came back normal. Eventually diagnosed with lymphoma after losing 45 pounds (Lab retriever). They covered about 80% of the thousands of dollars. But, I adopted a new dog. Applied thru the website for wellness and the major medical that covers dental. After I put my credit card info in and pressed ok the next page told me that it only went thru for the wellness not the major medical. So I called. When you attempted to enroll on your customer portal, the website glitched and only charged you for the BestWellness endorsement plan, which cannot be purchased on its own. Upon your call, we advised we would have to cancel the policy due to the error and start over to include the base injury and illness plan with the routine care BestWellness, which at the time we only offered one option for BestWellness.
