I am a homeowner and use VRBO/Home Away to book my clients. Love that company!!!! However, on their site they list CSA Travel Insurance as an option for guests. I do encourage guests to use this but NO MORE!!!!! This is a SCAM, and I am going up the chain in VRBO/Home Away to ask them to remove it from their site. My guests have been completely mismanaged and lied to. I have refunded them entirely, even though I have an agreement stating I may keep their full payments and deposits. Don't buy this insurance! It is a complete scam. To get any reimbursement you would have to have something happen at a certain place, at a certain time of day, on a certain day, in a certain year and a certain month. They lie to you when purchasing it. I was told you could cancel for any reason. I will never use this company again. I have now wasted over $9,000 for nothing. It really deserves a 0 rating.

I called CSA on March 8, 2020 and again on March 9, 2020 and was told from a message that I would received a call back in 3 hours....it's been 72 hours and still no call!! Stay tuned!!

Being nervous with the virus that is spreading all over, we purchased their insurance for an upcoming cruise. We tried to cancel the policy on Tuesday due to the government advising individuals at our age not to travel on airplanes and cruise ships. I contacted our contact that set up the policy and asked him to cancel the policy as we will not be cruising now. His response was the fact that we are over the 10 day cancellation by 1 day , CSA (Generali Global Assistance) would not allow us to cancel. I think they are very unreasonable, unfair and would not ever do business with them again nor recommend them. I feel they are crooks and only to the effect that they should fully know the... I called to see if they would cover a trip interruption due to Corona Virus outbreak. What I'm finding is that they will not. Not unless you actually get Corona Virus, which is laughable. They give you the illusion of being protected, but will not cover when it really matters. Absolutely a scam. I will NEVER trust them with my trip. Such a waste of money.

I am going through hell dealing with this company. Every time I called, I could not get hold of anybody even after waiting for 40 minutes or more. I left my phone number so that they would call me as the message says I can leave a number without losing my spot in line. They never called me back. Same situation with emails. It has been an extremely frustrating experience. The reason I googled this company is to see if CSA really exists. I will NEVER use this company.

Having to deal with CSA Travel Insurance for my trip its been a nightmare. I took a cruise and I experienced a two ports cancelation with NCL due to mechanical breakdown of the ship. The cruse went from 10 ports to 8; A total of 20% of the cruse's value. I submitted a claim with CSA Travel Insurance as a trip interruption stated in my policy and after a month, they denied my claim because they considered I did not had any prepaid expenses. Don't purchase any travel insurance with them because they will find a way not to pay your claim.

This is a word of warning to anyone considering renting a vacation property through Tybee Vacation Rentals in Tybee Island, GA OR buying vacation cancellation insurance with CSA Travel Insurance. I booked with TVR and read the cancellation policy and found they would not refund in case of weather and they recommended connecting with CSA travel insurance through a link on TVR's site to purchase cancellation insurance to be covered, so I did. Unfortunately Hurricane Doreen developed and headed toward Tybee Island so my entire family watched the weather reports constantly. Our flight from Barcelona to Chicago 10/15/19 was cancelled because of civil disorder and we had to buy another tickets for flight 10/16/19 and stay in Barcelona one more day. Our claim to reimburse new tickets cost was deny because according to the Master Policy TMP100010 "civil disorder" cause is general exclusion for trip interruption. However insurer didn't provide full text of policy before it has been bought and we didn't know General Exclusions. Claim for our expenses during additional time of trip was accepted partially because of existed daily limit. However insurer made calculation against their own daily bases rules. If I could give them a 0 rating I would. They will do what ever to delay paying or try not to pay at all. They claim they don't receive emails even after you have received a reply they received the email. My brother had cancer and went thru chemo, 100 day stay in a hospital and radiation and then died. He was unable to go on vacation so we had to cancel the trip. Now after sending in a claim with the diagnosis of cancer, the doctors name and #, the hospital name and #, the patient authorization form, and the hospital statement.
