Man, I'm going to try and keep this short because these predators don't deserve any more of my time than they've already taken. Bought a policy for our vacation to Louisiana and when everything got canceled due to Covid 19 these wonderful folks wouldn't reimburse us our money for the VRBO. I sent them a letter from my employer that I was laid off and they didn't budge. Brutal....and now they changed their name. What a surprise.
My experience with them was HORRIBLE. Worst travel insurance company we have had to deal with. We had to cancel our trip due to a stay at home order and our destination was quarantining people for 14 days upon arrival. Of course, this was all due to the COVID 19 outbreak. I uploaded our state Gov. Stay at Home order and also the destinations quarantine order. The best they could due was give us a voucher for future travel coverage through there company. Well, I can tell you one thing, that voucher will never be used. This coverage was for our VRBO. Luckily the owner of the VRBO gave us half our money back but the BIG TIME insurance company did not budge.
Military members be warned about his company. As an active duty member I got this insurance because it states that it will refund your money due to "Your previously granted military leave being revoked." I got the revocation letter from the commander but they wanted one from when I bought the insurance 6 MONTHS AGO. If you send in any type of documentation to cancel a trip make sure that none of the dates are on leave paperwork, because that's the date they will say your leave got approved, not when you originally asked for it. I just wanted to state that their is a huge difference in level of service between Allianz Insurance & CSA Travel Insurance. I unfortunately hurt my knee prior to our trip departure on March 3rd. My Orthopaedic Physician made a Report stating due to the injury, to avoid airplane travel in all cases for the foreseeable future. I filed a claim with Allianz for the insured airline ticket portion of our planned vacation & they pretty much paid immediately. Thank You Allianz! I filed a claim with CSA on 03/01/20 for the VRBO rental portion of our planned vacation & they have initiated nothing. The Claim Status has not changed. CSA did call me back on 03/26 after 3... Paid for insurance for a VRBO home and CSA TRAVEL PROTECTION is TOTALLY screwing everyone over and not paying for claims due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I bought the plan in October 2019 for travel dates of March 14-21 2020. The freaking government is telling us to NOT travel and stores, restaurants are FREAKING CLOSED!!!! But yet they are refusing to pay for the claims!!!! I think all of us who purchased this plan and are being denied paid claims should group together and seek legal action!!! Please share share and let's stop this! They are front and center to sell this insurance but are not paying for claims due to the COVID-19
Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! This company has no problem taking your money and quickly dismissing any claim you may have. We have a shelter in place in our state and we contacted csa weeks before the trip was scheduled, they claim the travel site is offering us a full refund, which is a bold lie. We were told by our travel site that we have to go through the insurance for our money back since we bought the insurance. They denied the claim because FEAR of coronavirus is not covered! CSA is a scam like all insurance companies easy to apply but impossible to get money when due. It is rated #1 cause it is available everywhere but when you ask them for your due they charge you for a premium on top of what you already paid, miscalculate your due and you end up paying more for their services. Misleading advertising and coverage. Horrible services. Will never use them again.
I had a trip schedule before the whole COVID epidemic hit. The home owner cancelled my trip, so it wasn't even me, and CSA is saying that's not refundable. I can only get a credit for the next time I travel. So a couple of things, I don't even know when we will be able to travel again. I cannot have my $750 out there on some credit. Because of the hard times ahead of us, I rather have that money in my bank account. I don't think this is a fair solution to the property manager cancelling my trip. It's not like we decided not to go. What a waste of "travel insurance".
We took out insurance for an upcoming vacation to Florida. Can you believe the Coronavirus isn't covered! You're wasting your money if you deal with them.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! YOU MIGHT AS WELL ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND TOSS THE $$$ YOU PAID THEM OUT OF IT! Can't get hold of a human being, never return calls or emails. Wish I had researched them prior to paying for this scam insurance.
