A&E Factory Service Customer Service and Reputation

Customer Service/Reputation - 4 / 5

Although A&E Factory Service has an A+ rating from the BBB, negative online reviews are not hard to come by (as is often the case for any service provider). Most complaints stem from communication problems, particularly regarding missed service appointments and a frustrating rescheduling process. Nonetheless, the company has a customer service line available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST and an online form to rate the service experience.

Technician Johnny came out via Lowes Repair service, said he ordered a part for my whirlpool refrigerator and to call him when it arrived. He gave us his personal cell number to call him when the part arrived. 7 weeks later and several calls over the past 3 weeks, I called whirlpool and Lowes to find out there was no part order, the case was closed and I needed to have a recall scheduled because the part was not in stock. I was never informed that the part wasn't ordered or that I would need to reschedule so I have been without a refrigerator for 7 weeks waiting on a part that was never ordered by A & E.

Have had them look at new fridge in Sept now it's Jan and still not fixed. Have parts here waiting for them and they have shown up 2 times and canceled 2 times and just not shown up 3 times. They have terrible service. Avoid at all cost.

My GE dishwasher developed a leak, which turned out to be a cracked solenoid. The plumber I initially contacted said that they would not repair it because if the dishwasher was damaged while making the repair, they would be responsible for replacing it. They suggested getting a GE authorized repair person. I purchased an OEM replacement part and contacted GE to schedule the work. That’s when I discovered that there was a recall on the dishwasher. GE ordered the recall replacement part and set up the service appointment to perform both the recall work and replace the solenoid. Setting it up that way would limit my out-of-pocket costs for the solenoid replacement. When the plumber from A&E... Read More

I have a Samsung top load Washer that’s under recall. Schedule and appointment on two separate occasions. Here’s what happen appointments re schedule without talking to me. I have had to take off from work 2 days and all they can tell me is that their sorry but sorry don’t pay my bills. after the first time, received a callback to say oh we’re sorry the technician should have called you. Now this is the second time an appointment was scheduled and again no call, no show. Remind you that this service was for a recall item. So how do I get Samsung to honor the recall!!!

This is the 3 visit from the service technician on our Whirpool wall oven that is under warranty from Home Depot. It is not fixed yet. Today is 8 weeks without a oven. I ask him the second trip if it could have been a fuse. He told me this oven did not have a fuse. Now today he is saying it is a fuse and he had to order it and come back. Never again will I buy anything from Home Depot and never buy a warranty not worth the paper it is written on.

The repair on our GE range has been scheduled 5 times and parts are on site. We were told service window was 8am to 5:pm . We wait all day and no one shows or calls. We finally receive a text that our repair has been re-sheduled a month out. We are trying to get a safety issue repaired.

When a replacement part was ordered 11/29/2021, a service repair date was scheduled. I never received an email or text for time of repair. Received a call on the day of the scheduled repair (12/13) with a message that the earliest they could repair was extended by 3 weeks - after the new year. I spent 40 minutes trying to speak to a person. The first 2 service reps conveniently disconnected my calls. The 3rd rep tried to help, but could not change the date and said I would here back within 48 hours.

We have A& E thru Lowes Warrenty service. Our not even 2 year old Kitchen Aide refrigerator went out November 12th and had to wait until November 24th for a tech appt. That 24th they were to be here by noon. No show and I called and they said by 5. I the. Got a call at around 3:30 to find out not only did the tech have a car breakdown we had to wait til 12-10 for repair. Monday the 6th someone called to get an over the phone diagnostics and they were to order a circuit board or whatever and have it sent directly to us. I called the Lowes Warrenty office Thursday the 9th to find out what would take place if the board didn’t arrive by Friday. Didn’t get anywhere. So Tech arrives Friday at... Read More

Ender what circumstances is "3.9" considered "very Good"? "Fair" is a more appropriate rating. Customer service is a flat no star "F"!
