Lowe's offers appliance repair services through the manufacturer's warranty and through their appliance protection plan. If the problem is covered by either of these, the appliance will be repaired by a certified technician at no cost. However, if it is not covered, repairs may be offered by the technician at the customer's expense. The protection plan promises basic benefits, such as functional part and labor coverage, normal wear and tear repair, and reinstallation coverage, among others. Unfortunately, the plan's terms and conditions mention that they do not cover accidental damage or abuse, routine maintenance and consumables, and cosmetic damage, unless specified. Here at ConsumersAdvocate we recommend customers to read the terms and conditions thoroughly to inform themselves on Lowe's protection plan features and restrictions. Lowe's also offers a replacement plan, but is only eligible for products that retail for less than $300, after all discounts have been applied. This excludes major appliances and water heaters.

What good is the warranty if they say they will send a check when washer can't be replaced then just never do it? Been waiting three weeks now and there is no way to contact the Claims department themselves.

Purchased the extended warranty for our dishwasher. It has been out of service since November 22, 2019. It is now September 2, 2020. Have had technicians to our home 3 times and have been unable to repair. Now, we've had no response from Lowe's service company after 8 weeks and Lowes continues to be unresponsive to the problem, telling us that they'll get back to us. NEVER, NEVER do the extended warranty through Lowes. Horrible service and extremely frustrated.

I have been on the phone with this company, to have my washer repaired after only have it for 6months. I've called 3 times only to be on hold for at least 45 mins each time and to be told they cant take my call and was then hung up on. This makes the third time I've called and still cant get through to anyone and have been on hold for 25mins this time and still nothing. This is a joke. now ready the reviews looks like I wont have it fixed for another year.

I wish I could give them no stars. My story is the same as everyone else's but I just wanted to go on record. I have a Lowes Protection Plan. My dryer broke on 8/17/20. After waiting or an hour I finally got someone on the phone to "assist" me. She took all of the information and told me that I would get an e-mail with an appointment within 1-3 business days. Nothing. On 8/21 I spend another hour on the phone waiting for assistance. This time I'm told that it takes 5 business days and my claim has gone to the Repair Provider Support Team. I call again on the 23rd and I am told that they will have to escalate to the next level which means I am being put at the top of the list... Read More

Worst Repair Service we have ever encountered. Coupled with their Repair Company, A & E, you need an attorney, a lot of patience, money, and the ability to deal with psychopathic liars! We purchased a washer, dryer, and refrigerator from Lowes about 4 years ago. We also purchased their deluxe 5 Year Extended Warranty plan for them. The dryer failed in a year. An appointment was made by Lowe's about 10 days out. The Repairman never showed up. We called and were told he came by and no one was home. First of all, when I called for repair under the extended repair plan, they didn't have my address in their database correctly. The address they had I have never heard of. I thought we resolved that issue, and I had dto call in the next day to get somone to do my repair. that was the end of July and here it is August 22, 2020 ahd my waher has not been repaired. I was told last week that the parts are still on backorder but should be in by today. Today I have been told by the repair company not expected until August 28 another weel, this is terrible! Twice Phillips Electronics did not show up to repair our refrigerator. Both times we waited. 4 hours. Nobody could reach them on the phone. Not even Lowes. Lowes hung up when I asked them what they were going to do? We have an extended Warranty. This is the third time this Samsung 4 Zone Refrigerator ice maker has broken and there are other problems. A week trying to get the refrigerator fixed. ! I am so disappointed ! I spent money on what I thought was a great refrigerator and Lowes has not stood behind it in my opinion. Phillips Electonics has not done anything have not returned my calls.

WORST SERVICE EVER. We called on 7-27-20 regarding washer not working. Service provided came out said he would need to order part and would be back 8-4-20 to complete repair. On 8-3-20 S & S Appliance calls and confirms appointment for 8-4-20. On 8-4-20 they call and say they do not have the part and reschedule for 8-11-2020. On 8-10-20 they call and confirm for 8-11-20 between 12 pm and 5 pm. On 8-11-20 they call in the morning to say the repair man had a family emergency and would reschedule me for 8-18-20. Terrible, horrible customer service!! Do NOT buy the extended protection plan for any appliance. It’s a waste of money. Besides the fact that these “so-called” service companies that you will be referred to are all “fly by night” and have absolutely no interest in repairing your appliance. I agree with the comments below about the wait times, incompetence, and rude behavior. And the wait time for trying to contact Lowe’s is ridiculous too - at least 1 hour each time. They’re all using the Covid excuse so they don’t have to provide good customer service. Tell everyone you know not to buy from Lowe’s!!!
