Lowe's offers appliance repair services through the manufacturer's warranty and through their appliance protection plan. If the problem is covered by either of these, the appliance will be repaired by a certified technician at no cost. However, if it is not covered, repairs may be offered by the technician at the customer's expense. The protection plan promises basic benefits, such as functional part and labor coverage, normal wear and tear repair, and reinstallation coverage, among others. Unfortunately, the plan's terms and conditions mention that they do not cover accidental damage or abuse, routine maintenance and consumables, and cosmetic damage, unless specified. Here at ConsumersAdvocate we recommend customers to read the terms and conditions thoroughly to inform themselves on Lowe's protection plan features and restrictions. Lowe's also offers a replacement plan, but is only eligible for products that retail for less than $300, after all discounts have been applied. This excludes major appliances and water heaters.

The online scheduling system displays incorrect information limiting your ability to schedule repair online. To complicate this problem, the call center is seriously understaffed. I have been on hold for 4+ hours listening to music and we are sorry message. I am only holding on because I have unsuccessfully tried to get a callback over 5 times in the past 2 weeks. I would not recommend buying this coverage, given that you can't schedule a repair.

I have purchased 2 different washers from Lowes. My mistake. I have nothing but problems with both of them. A&E is the only repair service that Lowes sends out and it takes forever to get an appointment (that is if you can get Lowes corporate to answer the phones). Nothing but a recorded message with awful music. I have never called and had someone respond in less than 30 minutes. It is frustrating and very unprofessional. I will not purchase from Lowes again.

Lowe's Extended Warranty program is a fraudulent scam. They were unable to repair the covered dishwasher. So they promised to refund the purchase per the warranty. They alleged that a Lowe's gift card in the refund amount was sent out. Never arrived. They alleged that a replacement gift card in the refund amount was sent out. Never received. Lowe's appliance warranty is a straight up scam. I've been trying to call for days and never manage to talk to anyone. I've been on hold for 36:15 as I type this. My fridge is leaking water all over my kitchen floor and you won't answer the phone so I can file a claim. There simply isn't a circumstance where this is ok or acceptable. It's absolutely pathetic, and there should be a price for you to pay. Hopefully when I file the inevitable flooring damage claim with my insurance company they will sue you and Samsung both.

I had many bad experiences with Lowes. They never did anything about it. They sent a damaged stove and when the delivery team arrived they advised me not to take it because it might not work. They never rescheduled my delivery and put it down as delivered. Then they refunded me in the form of store credit...

Take a word of advice…. DO NOT BUY FROM LOWES! Their extended warranty is a joke. Getting someone on the phone is impossible! If you have a problem they say oh it’s not covered. However when you buy they tell you what a wonderful extended warranty they sell that covers everything! It’s all lies!

My advice is to find a good local contractor recommended by friends, and don't buy a Lowe's service contract. They are impossible to reach by phone--I waited over two hours and never got a human. There is a call back option given when the robot first answers--take it!!!! Leave your number. If you're lucky you may hear back in several hours. You'll get NO HELP from the store where you bought your appliance. They know nothing. No manager will ever call you back. I would prefer to give them zero stars for a rating.

As of today 6/22/2021, it has been TWO months since a repair ticket was opened for my Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator. We purchased the extended service plan or best known as "Lowe's Service Advantage". Parts have been on backorder since May 10 when additional parts were ordered bringing the total to ELEVEN parts ordered for this unit. We have no led lights, no water, no ice maker - we have two in this unit and neither work. We have had to buy ice and water for two months. Lowe's does not care at all. 1. As of today, it’s been 42 days since Lowes received the damaged/broken shower head….42 DAYS! 2. The Lowes website states, “Purchases made with a debit card will be refunded as cash or credited back to the debit card, which may take up to 15 days. “ https://www.lowes.com/l/returns-policy.html 3. Lowe’s Extended Warranty service is poor at best. Our 3 yr old, LG French door, 29.7 sq ft fridge went completely dead while we had a guest for dinner. We went through all the troubleshooting in the manual and had to call for service the next day which was Friday. Understanding that no one works on the weekend. Monday came and the appliance service company was on time and ready to diagnose the problem. He said it was the sealed compressor. He could not help us we needed a LG Certified repairman and to call Lowe’s back. Called Lowe’s back. I had to make another appointment.
