United Healthcare Insurance is nothing but a money grab, you pay for medicare all your working life, when you get to have it, you find out medicare is practically useless and you have to pay a sizable amount of money each month to not be able to use it because of the copay's and deductibles, so you pay United Healthcare for an "advantage" plan and now I pay $55 a month for that on top of $136 per month for medicare, I still can't use healthcare whenever I try to use healthcare, I get these huge bills that are up to me to pay.....why do i pay for medicare AND an "advantage" plan and STILL am substantially left to pay for everything out of pocket. I have to do all this on disability... Read More

They switched my preferred in network pharmacy from Walgreens to a mail order pharmacy without my permission . Had to spend hours on the phone to reverse this.

Very disappointed in price of meds. We didn’t have an deductible last year for meds now we do. Pluse u went up 18.00 on our monthly payment. That puts me a near 200 for this, of course that doesn’t include the other 148 that comes out. I believe the United Health care is the most expensive of all of them I will b comparing programs closer next time. This is entirely too high for seniors to b paying. My same medicine is more expensive than it was last year.

I used to think that United Healthcare were a great Company until they decided to break off with Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta AFTER Benefits Enrollment. It seems once they have your money, that's the end of the care. My wife and I had been with our current doctor for years and being over 65 will find it hard to find a new Doctor to take us.

Do not pay claims over deductible. Charges stupid money and when claim filed, they fight it. Complete junk of a company.

I have UnitedHealthcare as my medical provider, and they are the worst. I had colon cancer and right in the middle of wearing an ostomy bag because my stoma was hanging out of me belly, and they decided not to cover adhesive removal and didn't care if my skin was ripped from my body. Now I am going through colon cancer again and the insurance policy states that if I go to an in-network provider or facility everything would be covered once your out of pocket is reached for the year. unfortunately the in network provider sent blood tests out of network and now they insist I pay $3,000 because it's my fault that he went out- of- network. so my advice to anyone is go to any other provider of... I canceled my membership with them by phone (several times) and by a written form, but they are still billing me. They never told me that my plan group to which I belong should have sent the notification of disenrollment (they hid information, they only want your money.) Stay away from United HealthCare.

One month ago a rep from United Healthcare recommended that my wife and I change our insurance from Plan f to plan G because we would save money. Got a letter from United 3 days ago that said my insurance cost would double if I switched plans. Gave me two sets of reasons: first they gave three diagnoses for illnesses i supposedly have, one of which I don't have and never have. Second, they gave me the names of three doctors they contacted, one of which I have contacted in five years, and one I don't know and have never seen as a patient. Interestingly, they never contacted my primary care doctor who could have gotten all this straight. First time I called to complain I was... Read More

This company is all about finding loopholes so they don't have to cover anything. I went in for my first mammogram at 48 years old and expected it to be fully covered as promised by the ACA and UHC website. I was doing self-exams at home and was a little worried about some thickening and so I called my PCP and she ordered a mammogram. 1 month later I get a bill for over $1000. When I called UHC they told me it was a diagnostic mammogram and therefore they are not going to pay for it. There were no biopsies done, the mammogram was normal (thankfully) yet because I had felt something at home it was now considered diagnostic and they do not cover those until my deductible is met. Such... Read More
