A1 Air Conditioning & Heating in Morristown, TN is an excellent company to repair AC & Heating problems. I have been dealing with them for 5+ years and have never been let down because of Donnie's excellent service & attention to detail when repairing my heat pump. He is reliable & prompt about calling to make an appointment to meet with the homeowner (usually day of request but by end of day after request) and inspect your unit. I have only had to wait for a repair part one time in all the years of working with him to keep up my unit and the rental property units. AHS has good rates and the mobile site is super fast to put in work orders, BUT the phone customer service is the worst I have EVER dealt with. Typical wait time is ~30mins. You can't cancel or correct a work order online or deal with billing disputes online so you have to call. The call takes forever and they are extremely rude. If it weren't for the good coverage I would change companies. I wish they would fix their phone support since it is often necessary.

I have been waiting for a resolution to a claim on my dishwasher since June 7, 2017. The first tech arrived at the house (on-time, I must add), and said the dishwasher wasn't cleaning the dishes properly. Which is why we called... he said he had to order some parts and would get back to us. A second tech came a week later, and said he needed different parts. Never heard from him again. I called AHS nearly three weeks later, because I hadn't heard from the tech. AHS informed me I owed for the service call (which I'd paid, by check, and they had cashed, BTW) and said they'd send someone else. I have been a customer of American Home Shield for four years. You never know how bad they are until you need them. I had an air conditioner problem where one repair vendor had to come back three times only to tell me it was all my fault. AHS then sent an AC repair vendor that actually knew what he was doing and successfully fixed the problem in 10 minutes. I am not sure where they get these repair vendors from but its hit or miss if you find one that actually knows what they are doing.......Different story different day. On August 16, 2017 my dishwasher goes out. They repair man shows up on Friday August 18, 2017 and says he needs to order parts. The parts order apparently then goes back... Read More

AHS has the worst customer service. I submitted a claim for service on my A/C unit and AHS sent the request to a contractor that was 100 miles away and didn't service my area. When I called to speak to a customer service rep, I was on hold for an hour and ended up hanging up. I clicked on the "contact us" link on the web site and was directed to a phone number that did not work. No e-mail to send a request to. No address to write a letter. No way at all to talk to someone about my faulty service request. I resorted to their facebook page and posted a comment asking them to call me. Their facebook page says they monitor it 24/7. I have had No problems at all for the 1st year of service AHS. Responses were quick and the work was done fast and efficiently . The only slight problem I had is one of the contractors , to bring work to code, I had to have additional work done which was on the high side.
Other then that all was Good

I had AHS for over a year. I only called them out twice and both times were a nightmare. The 1st was for the washer and it took them 2 weeks to repair. AHS claimed it was the contractor and they claimed it was AHS. Everytime I called AHS I got a different office and I had to go through the entire situation Everytime I called. I finally received a call with an apology and was told I would receive my service fee back and of course that never happened. When I called to see about the refund no one could understand why I was supposed to get a refund. My 2nd issue was my garage. Of course I don't know why my garage is acting the way it is. Excellent so far. We've been here and with AHS for one year, but have had a policy for many years at other addresses. We've experienced no "anxious moments" when filing a claim or with the selection of repairs made personnel. Thank you very much.

I waited 3 hours on hold trying to schedule repairs. I had to plug my mobile phone into the wall because my full charge went down to zero. I spent 2 days waiting for a technician. The tech could not fix the problem. I was charged $75 by AHS and no repairs were done. I ended up calling an outside company to fix my A/C and they fixed it in a couple of hours.
Terrible customer service. Terrible voice mail system keeps you waiting on hold forever. When the staff finally answers the phone they demonstrate thier total lack of care and lack of knowledge.
I wrote this when caling for an explaination. I have been on hold for over an hour already. I don't know if they will pick up the phone.
