Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Does not cover AC very well, I am still waiting on a check for work I had done that the said they would not cover but still wanted to give me money for not changing. LOL burn me, right!

My name is Olyemphis Huff and I ask they you please do not use this company they are the worst ever I have been paying them for about 2 yrs and when my heater went out they came up with every excuse not to pay for repairs b/c they were way over the 100.00 authorization limit they have for the repair company. The company they sent out was PM something. They came out on last Tuesday and told me that they would order the part I needed and come back to install it in a few days. I then told the guy that I would be off on Friday so let do that day and he agreed. Friday he shows up with another tech and after being under my home for about 20 mins they advised that they would have to order two... Read More

I filed a claim on July 2016 to get my washing machine fixed, today is October 31 and the washer still has not been repair. All I get from Choice is the run around and lot of excuses. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I have had several home warranty company throughout the years, but am very pleased with CHOICE. They immediately dispatch a technician, follow-up to make sure the appointment has been scheduled and finally, reaches back out to make sure the work was done to my satisfaction. I recommend this company to anyone looking for a home warranty company.

From the moment I submitted my claim, to the time my repair was finalized, I had the most amazing experience. I submitted my claim on a Sunday afternoon, within a couple of hours, I had someone contacting me to schedule an appointment. The person came to my house that following day, within 24 hours I made the claim, and by the next day, he was back to complete the repair. The issue I experienced was that my heat was not working in my house. With temperatures dropping to the low 40s and having a young child at home, I was VERY worried. But Choice was there to assist me the entire way. Couldn't imagine having it any other way! They are truly the best, especially in a time of need.

I read many reviews that were stating that this company was crooked or that the do everything within their power to not pay out claims. I signed up and two weeks after our claim became effective we had a pipe break that was well within our policy and they said we did not enter our contract with everything working at 100% working condition. When I asked what happens months down the line when another leak happens (our home was built in 1950 and I disclosed that at the time I signed up) are we not covered and they told me that the do not speak in hypotheticals. The pipe was in good condition and no leaking, because it was inspected 2 months ago for some other work done in a different area... Read More

I have been with this company for some time and never had to use it. But 3 days ago my a/c unit stopped working. Three days later a repair person arrived and said the fan was defective. He tried to get a replacement but the company no longer made it, and there was no after market for it, so in short it was not repairable. He said the company refused to replace it. I called them and spoke to several people who said their were supervisors I don't think so. And no one would give me a telephone number for the head office. The people I spoke with said in no uncertain term to dam bad. DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE IT IS STEALING YOUR MONEY.

I bought my warranty a couple of months ago and 2 months later my garbage disposal went out. I let CHW know and they quickly sent someone to my home to replace my disposal!
