Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

This company does not do anything they say they will. I put in a claim and heard nothing back from them. I called again and it was escalated and still nothing. I called and cancelled and they charged me $123 fee for cancelling. They are a rip off. NO ONE told me there was a cancellation fee. I talked to 3 supervisors and no one mentioned a cancellation fee. I had the account one month and had one claim which they never provided service for.l

The Choice Home Warranty is an excellent service for us. However, we recently had an issue with one of our AC units and were assigned First Class Air LLC to do the repairs. Our appointment was between 11 am and 3 pm. At 8:30 that morning, I called the number given to us and talked to a live person. I informed them that my husband and I needed to leave the house no later than 3:15 pm for an appointment at the DMV that we had for the past 2 months. The gentleman said that they would be done way before that time but to text the number with the information and address. Bennett & Sons, tech Jean was exceptional. He called when he was on his way. He diagnosed the issue, explained the fix & got our AC up and running on a 90*+ day. We highly recommend Jean to to fix your AC issues

Would not recommend this company ! They deny coverage, don't care about your situation, provide the lowest cost replacement item. Most recent.. i had a pipe break which caused sewage smell to come into my house.. ..denied coverage , had to pay the technician who came out as well as pay another plumber almost $600 to fox this as I was told i could appeal and was assigned a person and she only had an appointment available 2 weeks later! So was i supposed to live with this accumulating sewage!? Another incident on xmas eve my sink pipe was leaking water in my kitchen, my son in law stopped by and put duc tape on the pipe do i could use my kitchen sink. I was told it would not be... Lydia Colvert, Case Manager, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and informative in resolving my claim no. 210283267 for a microwave replacement. Although I disagreed at first with a tone of frustration wanting CHW to reimburse me more than $191 to account for the filler kit to compensate for a 36" size microwave space between the cabinets, Lydia took the time to explain with a consummate professional demeanor by relaying pertinent information per the contract as to what is covered and what isn't. As a result, I was pleased with the outcome of providing me the reimbursement in a check form to be received soon as opposed to a gift card from Lowe's to expand my shopping options. She also...
