This is the worst experience I have ever had with a warranty company. They first refused my claim without even someone to check out problem. After MANY calls from me they agreed to send someone out. When he called and explained that the motor was burned out and needed replacing they denied the claim. The garage motor is covered but was refused because it cost more then it’s worth. Not what was promised. They offered a cheap monetary buy out that didn’t even cover price of motor much less installation. They pulled the same stunt on my garbage disposal. Cover the part not installation. They were very rude when I didn’t accept the buyout and desiring to hold them to the agreement.... Read More
Incredibly unprofessional. They have a million "caveats" that cover them so that you dont get your appliances fixed. You just continue to pay multiple times the deductible. I have been without a/c now for almost 2 weeks, with a rare cardiac condition that doesnt allow me to handle the heat - and I live in Florida. They are not approving my a/c claim bc I didnt have a maintenance record of a company coming to change my filters monthly??? Like screwing in a light bulb - call an electrician? My dishwasher was the first thing that went wrong and they sent a company here that was from 1 1/2 hours away. Two men showed up at my door after 9pm - no call, just showed up, no business card, hand... Read More
Our first claim and my wife stayed home from work to watch the work done on our dish washer. All work was complete quickly so she can leave back to work and now the dish washer is fully operational and runs like it was new.
Tremendous staff at select with very little wait between the claim request and the actual repair. Servicing of the HVAC was done in 2 weeks. It was also done very professionally and with no messes.
I see a lot of appliance issues because of parts nowadays and that was my reason to buy warranty. It is true that I have seen appliances break down quickly but I can vouch for how having this warranty have really backed up the standard manufacturer warranty.
Great choice of warranty with a platinum plan from shw. I find it very easy to make repairs. The cost of the warranty is very fair and for the price you get a top quality warranty program.
I was able to get a quick response to my claim and once it was approved it didn’t take long for me to get someone to the house
SHW is the biggest scam in home warranty, I would stay away from this outfit. They are cheap for a reason and they do a very good job in signing you up with and then they provide little or no service. They definitely give you a good run around if you can get hold of them and you will hear every excuse to not provide service. I signed up 6 rental homes in Arizona e.g. AC went out in one property and the contractor never turned up and I had to put the tenants in a hotel. They would not repair the AC because the replacement part was $150. Spoke with AVI - the senior person at SHW and he was also a smooth talker. Amanda called me on a holiday weekend almost immediately after I submitted my claim online. The contractor was assigned immediately, came when expected and was extremely professional, He replaced the thermometer and got my a/c working immediately! He had to do all of this in the middle of a powerful rainstorm! Thank you!
