Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I've been with Select Home Warranty for five years. Recently, I had an issue with my air conditioner and I submitted the claim over the phone. The customer service reps I dealt with and the contractors that came were fine.

I filed a claim last week for my water heater. Select Home Warranty sent someone to repair the water heater. The service contractor was very professional. I was very pleased with how my claim was handled.

Worst company EVER. No repairs and NO replacements.No companion from customer service. No calls from "supervisors". I will post on Facebook and other social medias to protect others from these cons.

Not reliable, not trustworthy! SHW will find all the excuses not to pay for the fix nor replacements. I bought several policies with them. The first service call ever and they said it was not covered. I cancelled out all my policies and go somewhere else. Don't waste time or money, go somewhere else.

I've used the Select Home Warranty warranty for my AC unit. I filed the claim over the phone and they quickly came out and took care of the problem. It was done within an hour. The contractor was friendly and very professional. I've been with them since I bought the house back in May 2016.

Select Home Warranty is an absolute disaster when it comes to customer service and their sub-contractors. Below is a detailed account of my experience with a claim for my clothes washer: A claim was filed with Select Home Warranty on April 4th and a repair technician arrived at my home on April 6th. They were unable to diagnose the issue but stated they would do some research over the weekend and get back to us on Monday. Monday came and went without hearing from the repairman. After numerous attempts to contact the repairman, finally on April 11th I make contact with him--he states he is unable to diagnose the problem so I need to call the warranty company back. I have this company ... two claims and no follow up. They told the one service company not to talk to me to go directly through them and I had to call to learn that my claim was denied. And, I was waiting to get my pool pump fix ... more cost to me cause I needed more chemicals ... I still yet to hear from this company

SCAM !! SCAM !! BIG SCAM !! Worst warranty company you can expect ever. I had 3 different companies so far for my home warranty and this is worst of all. I bought a warranty for $354 in March-2016 with 2 addional months free as they advertise. In May-2016 My AC went down with bad capacitor. In the month of May the temperature is above 95 degree in Florida. I opened a claim on Thursday and couldn't get contractor until Satruday and those contractors did not work in the weekend. So I called SHW and they said get your own contractor and they will reimburse with receipt and all. So I did and paid $200 to with receipt to some local AC repair company and then submitted... We have Select Home Warranty, we have had three different issues, one with our garage door, another with our garbage disposal and our refrigerator ice maker. Each time we called they stated they did not cover any of these items. Okay so why do we have this warranty company it is worthless. With our garage door they finally gave us a $100 check and made us sign an agreement that we would not sue. With our garbage disposal we called last week and they said they would get someone there. A day went by and no one called so we called Select Warranty back and they said oh we don't cover that? First they said they would and then they said the would not??? When we bought the house, the seller had purchased one year through Select Home Warranty. So, we stayed with them. The claim process was very easy. When I made the arrangements for the claim, my husband was home and he said the service man was very nice. He came in, and did the work. There were no issues with him at all. It was a very pleasant experience.
