The company's Platinum plan stands out for covering two heating and air condition systems, which can be helpful for homeowners of duplexes or homes where there are more than one type of heating system, e.g. baseboards in the kitchen and forced hot air elsewhere.

ServicePlus offers two types of plans: Gold and Platinum.

Both of these have a series of optional add-ons, such as pools, spas, central vacuum, limited roof leaks, and septic systems, to name a few. Their pre-packaged plans can therefore be expanded to suit every homeowner's needs.

No home inspection is required to purchase a policy. Appliance and system coverage is guaranteed regardless of age, make, or model. However, maintenance records are required for service and the company has a pre-existing condition policy which is unusual in the industry and may limit coverage.

For a single-family home in a small midwestern city, ServicePlus' Gold Plan premium is $569. The company's Platinum plan for the same home runs $649. An annual contract is required for both plans and premiums must be paid on an annual basis.

ServicePlus does not require a home inspection. Coverage starts 30 days after you sign your contract. The company has a 30-day cancellation policy in place.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel this Agreement within the first thirty (30) days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees, less any service costs incurred by us.

If this Agreement is canceled after thirty (30) days, you shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by us.

If we have provided services and the amount of the service costs incurred by us is greater than the contract fees paid, then no refund will be due to you.

I have had Thp for 2 years first year they were great . Halfway through the second year they started denying repairs or replacement. Fir my refrigerator I was only offer $300 toward replacement and only $150 for my dryer. When a pipe started leaking in my kitchen they denied repair saying that corrosion caused the leak . What do they expect in a 60 year old pipe? It cost me $495 to repair. I am now looking for another home warranty company will not renew when my contract expires.

I used Total Home Protection plan twice and each time they sent unprofessional handymen to my home. One of the guys only excepted cash for service calls in which he did not fix my garage door. I ended up calling the company back they sent a different guy. I had to pay another service fee. This guy goes to Home Depot and purchases the cheapest garage door opener with one remote and no key panel. I called the company and they stated I had to pay for the additional remote and key panel. After talking over 30 minutes about the horrible service. They told me if I paid the additional cost, they would send me a check to cover it. I never received anything. I claimed water leaking issue under Platinum plan with auto pay but Local plumber guy informed me that they denied the repair or replacement of my leaking water heater for unknown reason. They forced me to go to FTC to get my repair cost of $ 1,700. Don't ever think about buying warranty programs from Total Home Protection. You will be burned.

I have had a claim out since May of this year, I have been sent the phone number to at least 7 people to come to my home, Each person I am given to call, no longer does business with this company because they are waiting to get paid from previous jobs from them. I have called and called and no one seems to have an answer for me but to be patient, meanwhile in 90 + degree heat I have no working air conditioner. It is now September and still no progress. They called me to tell me that my policy is expiring in October, but they have a great deal for me. I so wish I had read the comments on Total FRAUD. Am trying to have my washing machine repaired. The recorded # will not accept any information immediately, asking the same questions time and time again. When I finally get to my zip code it will not accept the complete number. I have tried for THREE days to put in a request for a service representative, with no success. Meanwhile, I am inconvenienced!! I discovered another number, got an impolite person, was stuck on hold, then an automatic voice says: “If you would like a return call dial 9, your call will be returned when the next customer service rep. is free”. My Claim #652407, I have had this company for going on 3 years, I filed my 1st claim with them yesterday. To say I am furious is an understatement. This company should be called Total Fraud! I had to locate my own service technician for my refrigerator (which is just 3 years old!) I called the Authorization Department with the technician as he diagnosed the problem, a bad compressor. The tone and questioning by the representative from Total Fraud was very demeaning, guy sounded like he trained at a collection agency or vehicle warranty company. Paid $1900, filed two claims with ZERO results. “Not covered”..... I suggest you read ALL the fine print... Save your money, this will get you nothing but frustration. Im so incredibly upset right now, and feel we got “took.”
