Founded in 2016, ServicePlus is a home warranty company dedicated to providing comprehensive home warranty plans for a multitude of budgets. They have two different plans, with optional add-ons for fully customizable coverage. Plans for multi-unit homes are available. ServicePlus is unusual for having two pre-packaged plans that each cover a mix of systems and appliances. Optional coverage outside the standard plans is available for a wide range of home features.

The company's Platinum plan stands out for covering two heating and air condition systems, which can be helpful for homeowners of duplexes or homes where there are more than one type of heating system, e.g. baseboards in the kitchen and forced hot air elsewhere.

At a flat rate service fee of $75 per service call, the company falls in line with other warranty companies when it comes to deductibles. Customers can file claims 24/7 by telephone or online through the company's portal.

ServicePlus offers two types of plans: Gold and Platinum.

Both of these have a series of optional add-ons, such as pools, spas, central vacuum, limited roof leaks, and septic systems, to name a few. Their pre-packaged plans can therefore be expanded to suit every homeowner's needs.

No home inspection is required to purchase a policy. Appliance and system coverage is guaranteed regardless of age, make, or model. However, maintenance records are required for service and the company has a pre-existing condition policy which is unusual in the industry and may limit coverage.

For a single-family home in a small midwestern city, ServicePlus' Gold Plan premium is $569. The company's Platinum plan for the same home runs $649. An annual contract is required for both plans and premiums must be paid on an annual basis.

ServicePlus does not require a home inspection. Coverage starts 30 days after you sign your contract. The company has a 30-day cancellation policy in place.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel this Agreement within the first thirty (30) days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees, less any service costs incurred by us.

If this Agreement is canceled after thirty (30) days, you shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by us.

If we have provided services and the amount of the service costs incurred by us is greater than the contract fees paid, then no refund will be due to you.

I have been with this company for nine years and the warranty has increased by 25 dollars a month, now $54.95, and the deductible more than doubled in cost to $125 and the service providers tell me they are covering less and less. The final straw is that I called twice to get in contact with the service provider on a claim and it took 3 days for the service provider to call and let me know the repair is not covered - refrigerator seals for a freezer door is not covered. The phone system and customer service is awful. I have called three times today. We are a heating and cooling company. THP DOES NOT pay their contractors. We have outstanding bills with them stemming back from 2018 that has never been paid. Very hard to work with. They say we’ll be paid in 30 days and if you cross them and demand payment they push you out to 90 days. And then never pays the bill. We have had to go back on the homeowners to pay the bill. Awful company!!!

Worst service ever. They are frauds. They give you $100 for high end fisher after you have already paid the $45 service charge. Save your money and hassle and pay for it yourself.

If there was a zero I'd give it to them! This is the worse company, they'll send a contractor to your home have you pay them the service fee and then deny your claim! I would never recommend them to anyone!!!!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE A HOME WARRANTY FROM THP!!!! I paid up front for 2 home warranties, one for our primary residence, the other for a rental property, over $2K for a 6 year contract on both. I have never filed a claim for the rental and had 5 claims in 3 years for our primary home. The first 2 claims were for a garbage disposal and an electrical problem-both were never serviced because they claimed not to have any available technicians in our area. The third claim was for my refrigerator and ice-maker. I spent over a month going back and forth with them because first, no service providers available in my area, then service provider assigned but never showed up to the appointment twice,...
