Our Overall Rating: 4.4 / 5 (Excellent)

ServicePlus is unusual for having two pre-packaged plans that each cover a mix of systems and appliances. Optional coverage outside the standard plans is available for a wide range of home features.

The company's Platinum plan stands out for covering two heating and air condition systems, which can be helpful for homeowners of duplexes or homes where there are more than one type of heating system, e.g. baseboards in the kitchen and forced hot air elsewhere.

At a flat rate service fee of $75 per service call, the company falls in line with other warranty companies when it comes to deductibles. Customers can file claims 24/7 by telephone or online through the company's portal.

ServicePlus publishes a sample contract online and a thorough explanation of what is covered under its two plans. We recommend that potential customers thoroughly read their contract to understand coverage limits, policies on pre-existing problems with covered items, and other important issues.

ServicePlus offers two types of plans: Gold and Platinum.

Both of these have a series of optional add-ons, such as pools, spas, central vacuum, limited roof leaks, and septic systems, to name a few. Their pre-packaged plans can therefore be expanded to suit every homeowner's needs.

No home inspection is required to purchase a policy. Appliance and system coverage is guaranteed regardless of age, make, or model. However, maintenance records are required for service and the company has a pre-existing condition policy which is unusual in the industry and may limit coverage.

The whirlpool jets in my bathtub would not turn on when the button was pressed. I didn't know why there was a problem but things do happen. So I called Total Home Protection and used my warranty for service. They sent someone to fix it and it only cost me my deductible. Thanks for all your help THP, I was very satisfied with your warranty and customer service.

My washing machine has been quirky for quite a few months resulting in me having to either wash my clothes by hand or go to the laundromat. I recently discovered that my washing machine could be repaired and was covered by my Total Home Protection warranty plan. I called the company to make sure, and sure enough it's covered. They were very polite and helpful and sent out a service technician. He was able to fix my machine and I am thrilled. Thanks!

Total Home Protection is great, very professional and great customer service. When my water heater went out I called and I didn’t have to wait long for someone to come out to repair it. The pilot light was not working anymore and had to be replaced. All it cost me was the deductible. I am a satisfied customer. Since they came out to fix my water heater I haven’t had any problems. Thanks!

My family and I went on vacation out of state for a week. Upon returning home I went to the refrigerator for a drink, I open the refrigerator and the inside of my refrigerator was warm and smelled really bad. Our refrigerator had stopped working. I immediately filed a claim and within 24 hours we had a technician at our home to take a look. The tech arrived on time and checked out the situation. he was not able to repair the fridge, so after chatting with Total Home Protection, I selected a new one. When it was delivered, the tech came back to make sure it was connected and working. My out of pocket expense was only my deductible. Thanks THP.

Base on my conversation wit Sam Wortman , the customer service and explanation of the products was excellent. Therefore I signed up immediately so I hope that after purchasing a policy everything will remain the same as my initial experience. Mrs. J, Fayetteville, ga

As a single parent is very difficult to stay on top all of the maintenance a home requires. I lost the use of my stove. Ordering nightly take-out can get a bit pricey. It is so nice to know that if you lose a major appliance, it takes one simple phone call to put in a service request. They provide great contractors who clean up after themselves. Having a service warranty with THP makes home ownership much simpler and gets my stove working again. Thank you THP!

I recently had an experience with Total Home Protection. I had to call because my water heater went out while I was washing dishes. I called and spoke with Robert and explained my situation and he was able to send some one out the next morning to fix my water heater. My pilot light was burned out and had to be replaced and all I had to do was pay my deductible. I recommend the warranty from THP.

I recently discovered that there was a small break in my roof. I initially thought it was just an aesthetic crack, but it rained the other day and I saw that the break was causing rain water to leak into my house. Before it could get any worse, I inquired with a few contractors in the neighborhood to see what the cost would be to get it fixed. Most of the quotes was far beyond what I could manage. My wife urged me instead to get Total Home Protection involved, but I couldn't imagine that they would have any provisions to fix a roof. I was wrong (thankfully). The rep told me that limited roof damage was included in my warranty. Long story short, no more leaking roof. I got a great roofer... Read More

This is the most unscrupulous company I have ever dealt with. There contractors tried to extract extra money out of me on two occasions with there knowledge. If you retain this company, shame on you. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
