Haven't had a chance to use it, but every time we check the system, someone answers and one time Mom's electricity went out and they called right away to make sure she was fine.

I was a customer for over a year when the box failed. A technician tried to help me fix the situation over the phone, but we couldn't get it started. She told me to return it (I paid $11.00 postage), but didn't offer to send another box, so I said I would cancel my service since it wouldn't work. She said, "Fine, but be sure to get a tracking number." I need a medical alert system, and am searching for one to order.

My siblings and I purchased an alarm from (and set up service with) Bay Alarm Medical for our mother in May 2016. I was immediately charged for the alarm pendant. Thinking we were taking advantage of a discount, we set up our account to pay for the service semi-annually. After several days, I noticed that I had not been charged for the upcoming six months of service and that the equipment (receiver) had not shipped. I called and was informed that there had been an error and had to request that they put through the charge again. Nobody had notified me! From the day it was set up, the unit I bought from Bay Alarm, indicated it was working as I consistently showed 2.5 bars.. However, friends kept getting calls from Bay Alarm Medical staff reporting I was not connected. When I called their customer service, I was told repeatedly to simply press the “reset” button and everything would be fine. I did so many times and assumed it was working. We had been very happy with Bay Alarm for the last 6 or 7 years until very recently. It started with them waking my mom up early every morning due to a low batter reading. I called them right away and they sent us a new one. The calls continued...now to my brother and I, including Sunday's mornings at 7:00 a.m. We tested the new button because they were so sure that I had mixed up the new button with the old. Nope, that wasn't it so they decided that we must have an old button in the house. Bear in mind that just weeks prior all was fine.
