Hi: I was a paid subscriber to American Home Shield for a year or so. Overall, the experience was terrible. They are nearly impossible to contact, except when they want to sign you up. After that, you can expect wait times of LITERALLY hours without getting an answer. An error on their part prevented me from using the website order system and I was also never able to get through on the online chat feature due to "unusually" high volume. Once I was able to get through, I found that many of the contractors they used were extremely unprofessional and unqualified. I used this for a faucet that had a leak in the hose, it took 4 weeks for the company to fix it and they did not replace it with the same brand that I had but with a lower grade facet. I am not happy with service , I have tired to call the plan but have not been able to get thru their phone lines. I am sorry that I ever took this service. Linda Jennings
I've had them for 2 years now. Good service. Disappointed that they do not cover pest control like the policies I have with other companies, on my other properties. Will be switching when my contract is up.
Save your money is right. I have been paying for 2 years. My central air unit broke in the beginning of the summer. We called AHS they sent a company called Liberty Plumbing and Heating LLC out of New Jersey They came said I I needed a new coil the air broke the hottest days we have had yet. My house is for sale as well. We have called Liberty Plumbing and Heating LLC numerous times as well as AHS. The first night it broke it was 89 degrees in my house. I don’t have double hung windows to put a window unit in and as for a stand alone unit I don’t have a window to pipe it out of. AHS was going to give me $125 for an ac unit. I hated this company i call in about my air went out after the guy came out days later I still didnt know what was going on they don't communicate well me call was not took as a energy
I've just had the worst customer experience with any company or service to date. I called Saturday to submit a service issue for a non-working air conditioner. The service agent took my payment over the phone and told me it would be 24 hours before the service was scheduled. I received a text from a provider saying they would contact me in 24 hours. I did not receive anything and called American Home Shield. After being disconnected from their service line 3 times, I finally was able to speak to "Chet" who told me the service was transferred to another provider and it would be another 24 hours before anything was scheduled. I think this co. is a scam I had this for a few years and every thing I had repaired you wouldn't cover so my out of pocket was really high. Just seems like a waste of money.
Stay far away from this company. Just cancelled I only hope she deleted my phone number like she said she would so they can't harass me with calls again.
They rip you off no service n take one hour to answer the phone I’m trying 45 days to replace my cook top still nothing yet they are crook don’t trust them
I now have 4 years of experience with AHS, first 3 years were no problem, this will be my last year! First off, whether you make a claim online or over the phone, expect to wait at least 2 days to get connected with a contractor, or sit on hold for at least an hour while making the claim...and their systems are ALWAYS down. I was told I could schedule my own vendor for A/C when they couldn't get anyone sooner. Went through all the right steps and am only getting reimbursed $44. They are telling me I'm getting $119 back, but then they deduct $75 out of my account for the "service call", so the net amount I'm getting back is $44, they don't seem to get that.
