I feel we are wasting our money spending $500/yr for the warranty and $150 every service call. Washer sounds like a freight train but AHS said there is no "mechanical" problem so they wouldn't fix it! Had 3 service calls on the water heater ($450) and they finally replaced it when it actually blew up and spit out black smoke and soot! Our Dacor oven went out at Christmas so we paid the $150 for service call. They ordered some parts, came back, put them in, and it didn't work. They said it could not be repaired. Two months later (2 months with no oven) AHS offered us a Sears Kenmore replacement for $1200! OMG! Bottom-line Dacors start at $2800! Be aware that these home warranty... Read More

OMG..THE WORST EVER...HAD THEM FOR 5 MONTHS AND WAS SATISFIED. ...WE TRIED TO GET TOILET FIXED 3 DIFFERENT TIMES AND DATE..TOOK OFF WORK WITH THE 4 HOUR WINDOW...PLUMBER NEVER SHOWED...ONE CALLED AND SAID HE'S 40 MINUTES AWAY AND HE NEVER SHOWED UP..CALL AHS EVERY TIME AND GOT NOOO HELP..DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! !!!
WORST homeowners experience I have ever had to deal with! I had to wait over a month to get my AC fixed and it was hot as hell! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! ( takes hours just to get ahold of someone and every time you’re transferred to someone else it another 30min or so wait) Every time you call asking how much longer it’s going to take to get the part or fix the problem, nobody knows what’s going on or they refer you to the wrong business dealing with the labor and parts AND STILL TRY TO CHARGE YOU WHEN THEY'RE THE ONES WHO MESS UP! This is the worst company -- 14 days to get an appointment for a refrigerator repair. 10 days for a water heater. What a joke!
They are the WORST home warranty service!!! They are a CROOKED company!!!
Don’t waste your time and money with this company. We have them for years and every time we called for service they always refused to fix it and said it’s not covered and they will not fix it. BUT you still have to pay $75 service fee. Read all their reviews and you will find out. Next stop. B.B.B and social media!!!
The first time i contacted AHS for a problem, they were great. The next time. , MISERABLE. Four calls to AHS for the same problem. Hold times 30 or more minutes each time. Service was assigned to Sears based out of Ocala. I called Sears 4 times and 4 times I was told I was told that I am not in their schedule, including the day they were supposed to show. I called, waited 45 minutes to cancel my request and get my service fee refunded, was told that would take up to 5 days. Called to cancel my policy and it's impossible to reach Retention. This company is a rip-off! Central air unit not cooling at all; called AHS and a repairman came out said the unit needed cleaning (which was not covered by AHS) paid $400 for that. Had more problems with the unit not cooling. Finally the repair company said I need a new unit. Got a call from AHS that told me they would replace the compressor but it would cost me $2700 just for parts not covered and that I would still have an old AC unit. Ended up buying a new unit ($7000) because they would not replace the whole unit. Other problems with them. Don't do business with them!
I had 7 policies with this company and every time I had an issue with a high ticket item (air conditioner, heating system) I would have to fight for months to get the bill paid or to be reimbursed. This company is a joke!! Terrible customer service! Don't waste your money on these guys. I have since moved all my properties to First Choice and they have been nothing but professional and much better pricing.
I had a few problems and they were great for the 1st year.Now I have been without a refrigerator for almost a month only to find out we are back a square one. We will not renew....Be wary....terrible cust. service.
