Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

My dryer went out, and I called the home warranty to get it serviced. Someone was sent to my home to service my dryer, and the dryer was not able to be fixed. The home warranty service paid $300 for a new dryer, and I was able to do laundry immediately. I will definitely use this service for the life of my house. I have received excellent care from them, and I will continue to be a customer!

This company is the worst company of all the home warranty companies, they trained their employees to automatically decline all major repairs, if the client makes enough noise then they mind reverse course. The experience we had with this company is mind bothering, I do not know why they haven't been investigated by the Attorney generals of all the states in the union. They are crooked, they operate like mafia and they are very very dishonest. Please take my advice do not buy this warranty otherwise you will regret it.

Choice home warranty does not cover items covered by the Manufactures Warranty, if you have a AC unit and the compressor part is covered by manufacture Warranty Choice does not cover labor, any item in your home that is under 10 years old is not covered under Choice Warranty BE WARNED New Jersey AG has a restraining order and misleading sales

I have had the opportunity to use my Choice Home Warranty on 2 separate occasions (one year apart). I have needed assistance with the operation of my air conditioner. Both times, I called and left a message that I needed to make a claim. I received a response to my call from Choice Home within 2-4 hours. The person on the line was professional and knowledgeable to my issue. I was told the information would be given to a service provider in my area. I received a call from the air condition repair company (on both occasions) within a few more hours. All persons I talked to were professional, polite and seemed genuinely concerned about my problem. I have been with Choice Home Warranty for 20 plus years, I had a problem with my A/C last year (2015) I contacted Choice at the time of the problem, they sent out a HVAC Company, the Company they sent out said that my Condensing unit had not been maintained properly, in which it had been accordingly to the specification's, which was not true, for which I had the service work orders to prove that it had been, the company they sent out sent false information to there Claims Department, with picture's that was not of my unit, I did not believe what the Company sent too them so I paid out of my pocket for another HVAC Company too come out for another evaluation, in which they said it was the... We have had two opportunities with Choice, both have turned out terrible. The first had a technician tell us that we needed to replace some equipment for $2500. Choice said they would cover $500. A second opinion proved that only a $50 valve needed to be replaced. However I had to insist on the second opinion. All in all, I would have cancelled my warranty at that point but was talked out of it by someone who said he was a VP. So they got another chance.
