Home Service Club’s base-level 12 month home warranties start with a minimum annual premium of $400.

Coverage is not dependent on a home inspection, and this price point is slightly on the higher side of the industry standard.
With that in mind, they do offer a 30 day pro-rated cancellation policy, minus a $45 dollar administration fee.

Cancellation Policy

The customer may cancel the HSC service agreement for any reason within the first thirty 30 days following the date of purchase and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred by HSC and an administrative fee of up to $45.

After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

This contract may be canceled by HSC for nonpayment of contract fee, fraud or misrepresentation by the customer, by agreement between client and company, or if the customer threatens to harm or does harm the safety or well-being of HSC, their property, employees or contractors.

HSC may cancel the contract without reason at any time in the first 30 days following its effective date.

If HSC cancels the contract within the first 30 days, the customer will not be charged an administrative fee and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred.

If HSC cancels the contract after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

I was trying to get laundry caught up, only to find the dryer wasn't drying. The Home Service Club had a tech to the house within an hour of my calling them. He had the part on hand and I was back to dry laundry.

We bought the optional outside electrical line coverage, and are we glad we did. A tree limb came down and pulled the wires away from the meter on the side of the house. Homeowner's wouldn't cover it, for whatever reason, but The Home Service Club did. Never thought we'd ever need this, but glad we have it.

Running a home and a home business is a lot harder than you might think. When the dryer breaks, the door bell buzzes instead of rings, and the garage door opener all break at once it can be more than a little frustrating. The customer service agent at HSC seems to get that because they were able to help us out and get my home and business back on track.

We had frozen pipes. We called Home Service Club. The temperature was still below freezing. It took them a very long time to thaw the pipes. These guys really took their time and did it right. They put new insulation around the pipes before they were done. I think we will have a warmer winter thanks to having our home warranty.

One of the biggest mistakes I have committed in my life is when I decided to switch from my previous home warranty company 2-10 (because the premium went up some) to The Home Service Club! Basically, all the you want to do is to get their monthly premium and deny all services. If you can get them to respond to your calls or emails (which doesn't happen often), you're met with awful customer service and the lack of tendency to solve your problem. My refrigerator had been frosting over inside and freezer burning my food. I called the Home Service Club to see what they can do about it. The man that I spoke to was very courteous and told me to expect a call from an appliance repair company that day. The appliance repair company called and we made an appointment for them to come out to check out the freezer. I received a call before the technician arrived and when he came he handed me his card. It took about an hour to complete but since his visit, there has been no more freezer burn on my food and the frost is not building up anymore. In fact it's completely gone.
