Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Select Home Warranty is happy to take your $600 to $700 for a one year policy but it is nearly impossible to receive any claim money. We have had two separate claims, one for a Sub Zero refrigerator which cost $1600 to repair and Select paid $150. Our second claim was for an air conditioner. The repair company said that it was low on Freon however the main issue was a frozen blower motor. The claim was completely denied because there was a Freon issue which negated the entire claim. They would not fix the blower motor even after I agreed to pay for any Freon. Our home is 18 years old and appliances are beginning to break. When I ordered my warranty I did plan to have services done and each claim never was a problem to get done. I normally have a one week wait period before the job is started. It is a fair value and a great price.

Stress with repairs is never an issue for me and my wife. I thank the great staff at select for being up to date with the best techs in my area when doing my service calls.

Customer service and onboarding was top notch. Unfortunately, after 3 requests over a 2 day period for a supervisor/manager call back for an escalated issue; I never received a call back regarding a contradiction between the service technician's report and the decision/resolution rendered by Select Home Warranty. Perhaps, I should have gone with a company that cost a little more monthly with far less exclusions. Most likely will not renew this policy.

I needed home warranty for a new home I am buying. My realtor gave me a link with different companies to choose from. Customer Rep was very professional and patient. She allowed me plenty of time to explain my delima and look up the information she needed. I have a tremor and it takes me awhile to take down information. So far,I am very please d with the process.
