Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Six months into my contract I had an electrical problem. The first contractor fixed half the problem and was going to come back the next day with the right tools. He did not show up. Select assigned four more contractors and all of them set appointments and didn't show up. I wasted my time on five appointments and still have the problem. Select suggested that I pick an electrician to do the work and they would pay them. I was not going to do the job that Select was contracted to do and I cancelled the policy. I typically do not leave reviews but I am so unhappy with the experience that I truly felt like I needed to warn others before they purchase through this company. I purchased my policy for 3 years and paid in full because it was the best deal. I filed one claim which went pretty smooth however this second claim that I filed has been such a headache. I started the process in December when my washer broke, took about 2 weeks for them to send someone to check it who then determined that it would cost more to fix than to buy a new one so Select Home Warranty offered me a reimbursement of $150.00 which I agreed upon. My claim was handled by James at Select Home Warranty. He offered me a refund check on my microwave after I proved it was defective. I accepted and am happy how quickly SHW sent me out my payment.

Select made a control on my heating system for me and found a fault in the pipe that was causing to much heat which was making the room very hot and waisting energy. They fixed the line and now everything is much more comfortable.

I had a simple tub drainage issue and filed a claim for a plumber to unclog the drain. This has been the most horrible experience ever. The first contractor Select Home warranty sent came promptly to help but SHW denied them from doing the work saying thier cost were too high. I had to wait two more days for another assigned contractor. This contractor never called me and whenI contacted them the plumber told me they no longer do business with Select Home Warranty because of an ongoing dispute. I called Select again and they again said I will get assigned another contractor. Instead I recieved an email stating that my problem was not covered but I could purchase optional coverage. Using the warranty plan is as simple as can be. Setup time to make an appointment for a washing machine took a week. Service was done the following week. Professional and on time, no problems whatsoever in the quality of parts or the labor offered. I give a great rating to SHW thank ya'll.

My company owns a 4 family building and we pay an extra premium for repair and service. It helps me less manage most repairs saving me a lot of time. Select also keeps me up to date with work orders after completion. A must buy for any home buyer.

All I needed repaired was my ice maker in my refrigerator but the inspection company was so nice that they checked the whole unit for defects to ensure it was not more than just the ice maker. It was only the ice maker that needed to be replace and I am glad they made the extra effort thats real quality care.

Service and staff team are helpful, friendly and on time. The work area was cleaned before and after everything was done. I was given an inspection sheet outlining what was found and what was done. Very professional way of handling a claim.
