Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

It required my valuable time to call back and express my concern as to Select home warranty claims Dept as ask them why would they send the same company to my residence knowing I had a problem with this same company before.

My air conditioning system was still blowing very cold air, but it wouldn't take the humidity out of the air. Select home warranty sent a technician and found that my evaporator coil was shot, which was then also causing a Freon leak. Select home warranty denied my claim stating that Freon leaks are not covered. What a bunch of idiots! The Freon leak didn't cause the evaporator coil to go out! It's the other way around! Don't waste your money. Put it into savings account instead. My next step is to go to the Better Business Bureau, which a lot of people have been doing because can see select home has a poor rating.

Cost of this warranty was much less expensive than others I have used. The trade fee is also less than my previous warranty company. After filing a claim online, I usually hear back from a representative within a few hours. I have also been able to get issues resolved quickly over the phone.

I paid for a 3+ year warranty plan with Select Home Warranty. I recently had a problem with the AC not working correctly. They sent a technician out to diagnose the problem on 4/16/19 and the contractor sent over the diagnostic right away. I contacted Select Home Warranty multiple times since then to follow up with the authorization to repair. Every time I spoke to them, I always received a different answer as to why they haven't processed the authorization to repair. The last time I spoke with them, they told me it has been approved and I should receive authorization on 4/19/19 or 4/22/19. I called again today and they said they have not processed it because they are missing items... Read More

No words. Completely ripped-off by this company. $400 max payout on any item, IF you are lucky enough to have your claim approved, but you don't know that until after you have paid them and actually get to see the contract.

They don't let you read the contract until after you pay for an entire year up-front. The sales people will say ANYTHING to get you to purchase. Their maximum payout on any item is $400. That doesn't cover much on a $4000 new central air, and even then they won't approve it stating a "Freon leak is not covered". Um, I have the technician report in front of me that states, "bad evaporator coil". WTH? Its not a Freon leak, its a bad evaporator coil due to poor maintenance ( prior to my purchase, I have not lived here even a year yet) yet they keep denying my claim stating Freon leaks are not covered. Save your money. All warranty companies do this.

the represenative prvided me with the necessary information that i would need to move forward with my claim. so she should rate a very good rating. she may indeed rate 5 stars but i don't ever use the top rating.

I have had appliance warranties in the past and this one was by far the WORST. I was told things would be covered and they weren't. I even called one of their "preferred plumbers" and he told me that he asked them to stop having customers call him because Select Home Warranty hadn't paid him for past claims. When I called to cancel a gentle put me on hold and virtually refused to cancel my policy. Will be going back to American Home Shield! I only left American Home Shield because I thought Select was cheaper..... well you get what you pay for!
