Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

So far Select Home Warranty has been really quick at returning emails/calls about the claim that I have made. Our washer went out this week and I had to submit a claim on Easter. By the end of the day, I had already received an email saying that the claim would be processed and a contractor would be selected within 24-48 hours. The very next morning, the repair service was selected and I was contacted to set up a service appointment. I currently do not know how the resolution of the claim will play out as of yet, but I am hopeful.

Customer service rep was very helpful and promptly assigned service contractor who we expect will contact us shortly to address our plumbing problem. Since we are still waiting for the contractor to schedule the repair, I am assigning 4 stars to the service thus far.

Do not trust this foreign company. They have inefficient systems in place to handle claims. There is no email address on their website. They do not have a "status" of your claim set up on the web. I filed a claim on my oven on March 3, 2019. It is April 22 and I still don't have an oven repaired or replaced. They asked for photos of the oven and the model number. I sent them. The clothes dryer broke down and I was given a proposal for a $250 reimbursement check. I had to wait 45 days and it did come and the amount is being used toward a replacement one.

Select warranty offered me a low cost bronze plan and I use it to manage my appliances in my coop. The program is reasonable and the claims department has always been able to answer my questions in a timely manner.

I had a different home warranty for over 8 years and the only reason I left was I was told by Select that they have the same time frames for claims as well as same day appointments. I called in my first claim to them and they did in fact have the company come out same day but I'm now waiting over a week for them to approve the claim. I've asked several times to speak to a supervisor and or a manager with no call back. So far I would not recommend this company and would give negative stars if I could.
