Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Horrible warranty, it doesn't cover much of anything, I have filed a few claims and they find some reason not to cover it. The free roof covers nothing, I had a roofer look at the contract and it pretty didn't anything. Waste of money. The contractors they use do not return calls, cant get them on the phone. Then they tell you, you can use your own, you do and they deny your claim.

Having a service call on my boiler was very easy and did not have any delays. When they came they were able to get the heat igniter working again in one appointment session. All around good job.

This the most ridiculous company that I have dealt with I signed up for 3 years and everyday I am regretting. When you call you can’t even understand them 2 out of 3 times I had get it fixed myself and never got reimbursed for it I just found out from a A/c tech that this company declines every claims there for no one wants to work with them therefore it makes hard for people like me to anyone to come fix anything. My refrigerator went down they send 2 different people to fix it but they couldn’t fix it so I end up getting a new one and SHW offered me $247 for my $3000 refrigerator.i am going to contact an attorney and fight this if anyone wants to join me. Thank you for sending me Chuck for the fridge. He was just great! He found my problem and ordered a new water filter and pipe so that I can have fresh water again and that the ice maker would function again.

While I did not have a technician to fix anything the phone support was excellent in giving me a check for a replacement freezer. I received a $200 check in the mail after 45 days.

My decision to order a warranty is something I am happy I agreed to. My claim was honored after five days and I was promised an appointment Monday. The total experience was good with no confusion and seamless instructions given from Select to the contractor. Thanks a lot!

I'm pretty content with the service dept. Select was reasonably quick to make an appoint(3 days) and The company who came was very experience in washers and dryers. My repair took two days because new parts needed to be ordered so good experience.

I was talked into adding the "Pool" option for my warranty...boy was that ridiculous. I paid a year a head of time...boy was that ridiculous. My first call into SHW when lights started turning off in our home, without any indication of why. I thought this would be a great time to use the warranty, heck that's what they told me they were there for. After 3 months of sending us different electricians, and the problem only getting worse, we finally got a letter from SHW that they "don't cover that..." Well this was disappointing. There was nothing "special" about our issue. We were told they cover everything inside the house, as long as we hadn't tampered with it, and it is one of the items... Read More
