Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Great claim experience on my washing machine. The belt snapped and the machine was shaking out of control. Select gave me approval for a buy out on my model. The claim refunded me $170. The unit is 8 years old so its worth it.

My GE microwave just broke and I submitted my first claim to Select. They responded immediately but only cover $95 towards my $1700 microwave. I am very disappointed and shocked.

We have been fighting with Select for them to honor their contract with us about an A/C problem with have with our coil. We have a hole in our A/C coil and the unit needs to be replaced. The claim was denied because they considered it a freon leak which is not covered. After numerous phone calls and hours on the phone we are still getting the same answer, freon leak, not covered. Since the problem is actually in the A/C coil, which is a covered part, this should have been a simple approval for replacement. The initial repairman they sent out (took him 5 days to show up), just put gauges on the system and said freon was low and they would send in a report to SHW, $100 for a 5 minute visit.... This is my first claim and it was very easy, unlike my former home warranty company. Customer service answered all my questions and claim did not reveal any hidden surprises. Clam was surprisingly answered in a timely manner with a positive resolution. Now waiting for tech to arrive.

My home is a 1950 tudor with a 10 year old roof. The roof leaked and I created a claim to have patch work completed on 4/2. It rained yesterday and the leak is now gone. Just a great overall experience on roof repair.
