Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Customer service is great but most of my claims have been denied and each time subsections in the contract are cited. Your contract may not be what you think it is. Have had home warranty contracts for twenty five years and never experienced this. Beware

I was denyed to have my water heater covered even though it is in my policy. I would have even taken coverage for the install expense for the new one that I purchase and got nothing. I feel I was swindled and want a full policy refund since I am in the same place as if I had no coverage. I have friends that got your coverage off my recommendation and they are hearing about this as well. As it stands i strongly recommend try a different company.

No trouble at all with applying my Select Home Warranty services to my basement freezer. It was included in my warranty purchase at no extra cost too. I like the friendliness of the staff.

In September 2018, I had a plumbing issue and contacted Select Home Warranty. They could not find a contracted plumber to come out, so I found one myself. Even though a claim rep had approved of the plumbing work, it was not documented in their system and Select Home Warranty later denied the claim. I was supposed to get a $300 courtesy credit, but have not received it 5 months later. During these past 5 months, I have spent HOURS on the phone with incompetent and rude reps in both claims and authorization. Do not use this company. I don't know where these reviews cam from. But, it is a lie. This is the worst company from Customer Service to taking care of repairs. I had one claim for HVAC and it was denied. I asked for my money back and still do not have a check 2 months later. DO NOT USE.

Full disclosure is needed. Do not withhold information from potential customers. This happened to me today when I took out not one, but two warranties. This is the reason for my rating. I really appreciate honesty. This is borderline to a lie.

It took a little long to get someone out to get the claim done. But the lady was very helpful in assisting me with my claim.
