Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

We became customers in hue 2018 and needed assistance with my furnace in January 2019. I received an email on the assigned technician and waited to hear from them. When I did not hear anything after the waiting period, I called the technician and found out that they do not service furnaces. Select Home had to then locate another technician, so the waiting period starts again...it’s Winter People!!! Fortunately, I know a technician who took care of it. There’s now the cost of time and effort to seek reimbursement for the $45 that I paid over my $100 service fee without prior authorization.

Select Home Warranty has impressed me with the continued service of excellence. It started with my garage way back when and still to this date with my refridge. So many services covered and all done well.

This company is horrible!!!! I had an issue with my oven/range. The tech came out in December, 2018. The repair was approved on December 12, 2018. The tech never came back, nor could be reached by either me or Select, to take care of it. I was given a number for another tech for me to call. I reached out to the tech, who was very nice. Understandably, he was not going to drive the two hours to my house. It is now February, 2019 and the issue is still not resolved. Additionally, in January, I submitted a claim for reimbursement on my HVAC system. They're policy is not to issue the reimbursement for 30 days from the claim. I'm still waiting on that check.

In under ten days they made me a believer in the services they carry. They covered two claims in such a short period of time and both were handled professionally. I have to give them a 10+ rating!

My time with Select Home warranty has been nothing short of superb. When I signed up with them in 2018 I liked what they had to offer. Now in this year they still deliver on their promises of cheap but quality repairs.

I was told I was purchasing a 7 year warranty, but when I just read it says 5 years with 12 months free. Does the 12 months free in addition to the 5 years? Advise an answer to me. Will have to contact the person who sold me the policy.

Select home warranty is the worst warranty company I have had. Very rude customer service representatives. Poor service and takes long for a technician to come to your home. Very long waiting to speak to someone. They do not have many technicians and you have to wait a very long time for service. They tell you they are going to send you an email or call you and they never do. Do not bother with this company.

I had American Home Shield and the cost was almost double what Select charges and the service fee is a lot less with Select also. Hoping overall the techs and repair companies are easier and better to work with also.
