Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Not bad, not bad at all. For such a cheap warranty I did not expect the most out of it. I am glad I was wrong. Repairs has been a real treat. It is as if I hire them myself!

As far as sale, Belinda was very honest and she works with me to get me the best plan for the budget I have. I was very satisfied with her service up until now. I have just submitted a claim that happened back in Oct/Nov 2018 when I totally forgot I have Select Home Warranty so let see how this go. I'll update the status and the rating on the claim once the claim is completed. I give 5 stars up until waiting for the review & answer to the claim.

We had to bring in our own plumber on an emergency. We followed SHW procedure precisely. We promptly presented the required proof-of-payment documentation as directed, and followed whatever other instructions. HOWEVER, we have yet to receive a reimbursement check. And, SHW have not answered our recent inquiry emails. We are 'new' to SHW, and we paid for a few years upfront. To say we are disappointed to start out this way is putting it mildly.

Select Home Warranty is a SCAM!! Don't WASTE your money! I gave them $375 for annual platinum coverage, and when I submitted my first warranty heating repair, they declined and refused to cover it. I immediately requested a full refund, but they said it was past the 30 days, and would only give me a prorated refund based on $500 annual coverage less proration for 5 months less $75 cancellation fee. So I basically would get $91.68 refund for 5 months coverage. That's UNFAIR! When I disputed the refund amount they refused to understand and cooperate and kept saying the refund check was mailed. I have the platinum coverage on both my homes. I never had a problem with claims and they have accepted all the repair requests I have made. Renewing is a no brainer for me in the next few months.
