Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Great company. I had a leak issue with a pipe. Sent over a great plumber within 24 hours. Fixed everything and repaired a piece. Cost me nothing. Thanks Select and there entire team

First time ever submitting a claim. Refrigerator lost power during power outage. It won't power on therefore it will not cool. It's 11 days and my refrigerator has still not been prepared. Select Home Warranty has gave me run around and delay by requesting pictures of fridge along with pictures of model number and serial number. (Even though they asked for numbers during initial claim submission) Also technician can verify number upon arrival. They request something and then tell you to give them 48 hours to respond. This is unacceptable delay especially with an essential item such as a refrigerator. I was with another home warranty company 8 years prior to switching over to select home... Read More

We have been with Select for over a year. They sounded great to begin with until we needed something fixed. The pool pump motor quit working, but because it had only been 42 days since closing they considered it a pre-existing condition and refused to cover it but only after they told me to find a pool contractor to evaluate the problem. They didn't have a pool contractor in the San Antonio Metro Area. Sound bad. It was. One pool company I called said they refused to work with Select Home Warranty any longer due to problems with payment in the past. They did fix the electrical problem that kept one of our AC units working. They refused to cover our water heater when it quit because... Read More

They were horrible to work with. Customer service was terrible, reimbursement was not given without struggle, and service (plumbers) was not provided in a timely manner.

what a disaster we had. I have a shore house that we use on the weekends and when we drove up this past weekends with our kids and family friends. None of the 4 toilets were working. I was so upset and i was going to go to a hotel. I called select they got in touch with a plumber who can come later that night. He was the man . He fixed it and we all had an incredible weekend.

Select is super quick and so reliable. Im currently on location in Los Angeles and my Family are in Houston Texas. My wife called me in a panic. Something was going on with the pipes and pool. i quickly called Select and they took the both claims and called her to tell her there working on it. 4 hours later we had 2 techs in our home fixing the problems. Everything is perfect now. Thanks Select for looking out.

I live in a really small far away town. I wasn't sure they had technicians. I called Select and explained my AC is blowing hot air. And I have my ill father in the home and to please make it a priority. They lady said she was going to personally work on it. Sure enough with in 3 hours of my phone calls they found a technician who would come to me that day. He came and thank goodness fixed my air. Everything was covered. I can officially take a deep breath.

These guys are the worst. How did they get the ratings they did? I've been with them for about for a little over 5 months and I turned in my first claim. It took them a week to get someone out and then another week to review my claim (before any work was done). Then they were only willing to cover 150.00 worth of repair (they stated I was still within 3 months). When I disputed that, they came back and said it was a buy-out option (my stove is 3 years old...?????). Trust me, these guys aren't even a consideration. Don't buy into the $60 deductible....It's not worth it. Believe the negative reviews (I know I should have).

Select Home Warranty's customer service is the worst. I have had 4 home warranties with different companies, with no issues. I was on phone over 4 hours today, about 3 hours on hold. I spoke with about 6 different representatives, customer service, CS supervisors, authorization reps, Auth. mgrs with NO RESOLUTION. Their 6 pages of fine print is ridiculous what they will not cover. I will have to pay $300 out of pocket, then MAYBE get reimbursed for a simple garbage disposal & plubing leak. Most of the $300 is for the technicians waiting on authorization to do the work. They decided to fix the problems and deal with the company directly. They promised me that my air conditioning unit was covered 100% the salesman swore my home was covered! He stated," it does not matter how old or what is wrong with it the air conditioning unit is covered!" But the fine print states that leaks are NOT covered and about six months into the Warrenty and being not an air conditioning mechanic I did not even understand what leaks were until I tried to use my so called "100% covered Warrenty" it was denied!!!!! False advertising and I will be reporting them to consumers reports, better businesses, consumer affairs, and anyone else who can bring this company down for falsely selling lies!
