Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

When they no longer want to provide service they cancel your policy and claim that you requested the cancellation.

This company is a sham. The call center is a joke and passes you around for an average of 20 minutes when you try to follow up on a claim. 48 hours after my small plumbing issue became urgent. I tried to get them to give me the number to an authorized plumber, but kept being told to wait for the email. I finally got the contract email, after 6 different phone calls and being hung up on twice, and the contractor they assigned did not service Louisville, they were located in Bowling Green, approx . 3 hours away. BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS UNETHICAL AND SHOULD BE CLOSED! I have contacted the better business beareau. I am going back to American Freedom. They were awesome.

0 stars. This company would listen when I had a minor roof repair need. After getting a $300 repair estimate from their service man for an electronic panel repair, they told me they deny my claim due to a lack of maintenance because there was lint around the outside of the barrel inside the drier. I ask you, if the electronics panel isn't heating properly, how is that a maintenance issue? Really. Do NOT use this company. CALL AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY. I REGRET LEAVING THEM.

Terrible company. It's a scam. They use a depreciation value and do not cover labor. They are misleading when you purchase the coverage.

I submitted a claim for our swimming pool and it's very easy doing it which I usually do through Select Home Warranty's website. The technicians were very good and the quality of the work done is very good to this point.

I think Select Home Warranty scams people. I am a Realtor and have had a horrible experience with them. They have given me and my clients horrible service and end up not paying on claims. They wouldn't cover my refrigerator because they said the compressor was inside the refrigerator so it wasn't covered. When my pool filter broke, they said it wasn't mechanical damage. Their contractor that they sent to my house told them it was mechanical damage but they refused to cover it. Several contractors told me that they are the worst home warranty company o work with. I believe it.

I initially purchased 10 years (because of discount) from this company but so glad that I switched to 1 year as I am not sure if their service is good or not. I have a few claims in this year so far none of my claim is covered. There are a lot of fine prints. For example, your Air Conditioner needs certified professionals maintain it every year to make it covered. They do not cover roof for corners, on the garage part, etc. (there are about 25 lists not covered). Finally, I have a leaking claim. After about 3 weeks, no one showed up. The plumbers they asked me to contact said they have unpaid balance so they won't take the work order. The company representative have very bad service just... Read More

The contractor was excellent, very thorough and honest. They called me in advance to let me know they were on their way. It makes a huge difference when a company provides added details to ensure you can be present when the contractor is on their way.

My most recent claim was handled well by Select Home Warranty. It's been a good experience. I submit my claims over the phone and the response is usually prompt. The contractors that have come have been really cooperative.

My wife recently filed a claim online for our dryer and the process was very easy. They had to order parts which kept me out of a dryer for a week, but other than that it wasn’t too bad. Their technician had excellent service and they usually take no longer than a day to contact us.
