2-10 HBW’s home warranties, unlike many competitors, exclusively offers hybrid plans. Although the number of covered items advertised are on the low side, their lack of an annual cap makes up for it. Three home warranty plans are available: Appliances Only, HVAC + Water Heater, and Everything Together. The Everything Together plan includes all items from Appliances Only and HVAC + Water Heater, but also includes plumbing and electrical panels and wiring.

Specialty Items and Additional Coverage

2-10 HBW also features many specialty items as add ons. These include roof leaks, pre-season HVAC tune-up, additional HVAC system, additional refrigerator, built-in wine cooler, freestanding freezer, wet bar refrigerator, ceiling fans, exhaust fans, attic fans, burglar and fire alarms, garage door opener, water softener, septic system, well pump, pool/spa freshwater, and pool/spa saltwater.

2-10 HBW offers an ‘Even If’ Service Fee Guarantee. ‘Even If’ an item is not eligible for coverage, and 2-10 HBW dispatches a service contractor, the homeowner may request reimbursement of the service fee. ‘Even If’ also means if the same part that was serviced fails again within the term of the home warranty, the homeowner will not pay another service fee.

Additionally, 2-10 HBW offers Bonus Appliance Coverage:

Appliance Color Match – when replacing an appliance, the function, capacity and efficiency of the previous appliance will be matched, as well as the color.
Appliance Replacement Offer – when placing a service request for a covered appliance, you may proceed with the service request OR initiate the Appliance Replacement Offer. 2-10 HBW will give the homeowner a check for $100 to apply toward a brand new appliance instead of completing the appliance repair.
Appliance Discount Program – homeowners can save up to 65% on new GE®, Whirlpool®, KitchenAid®, Jenn-Air®, Maytag®, Gladiator® brands and more.

Was given this warranty purchased by our realtor after buying a home. We knew the home had an older HVAC unit of 21 years and figured it would be good to have when it eventually broke down. Once spring hit we saw the shortcomings of the HVAC system upstairs as the system ran all the time and would never cool down the upstairs. Had an HVAC tech come out to diagnose the problem as a restriction at the coil causing the temp to be off and the system to constantly run with signs of parts failure. Contact 2-10 for them to do their due diligence with their own contractor and not only was the contractor difficult and making comments like it was going to be covered, but he stated he would send them... Everyone below me with negative reviews on this fine company just can't see the true purpose. It takes hard work and dedication to be this bad and cause this amount of frustration with paying customers. You guys think it's easy to mess up fixing a fridge 8 times in row...NO! But 2-10 somehow does it and makes it look easy. I stayed home 4 different days throughout the past 12 months to wait for maintenance people to come out and "fix" my fridge. After the 4th time I would still get mad as they said they fixed it with the highest confidence in their raspy voice, but after the 5th time I started to see the amount of dedication it took to come out to my house and pretend to fix my fridge.... DO NOT USE. DO NOT USE. DO NOT USE. Absolutely horrible service and have no respect for customers. The main drain in my basement backed up and basement was flooding. This was 3:00am and I was leaving for a flight in the morning, so I had to act fast and could not wait hours for 2-10 to open and source a plumber. I was trying to prevent further damage and flooding and reduce damage costs by acting fast (plus I need to be able to use the toilet - a basic health need!). Upon notifying 2-10 of what happened I was told "That\'s unfortunate, but because you went outside of us we cannot reimburse you, even though it was just snaking the drain and is covered under your policy. We appreciate you... Read More

IN early June 2018 our refrigerator/freezer stopped working. It is now 8/22/18 and NO ONE has been out to repair this issue. Lots of lip service, run-around and appointment rescheduling (which has been endless). Our patience had come to an end when the "escalation department" contacted us. I verified both phone numbers and email. This person has YET to return a call or email in 24 hours. More of the same "hurry up and wait" from 2-10. We have been storing food in coolers on the floor of our dining room for 2.5 months. I'm, kicking myself for spending $500 on this policy and another $100 for a service deductible for service that has YET TO BE RENDERED! The initial service failure was... Read More

If you check out my reviews, you'll notice that I'm usually handing out praise to awesome companies with products/food that are amazing and service that's above and beyond. Unfortunately, that's not the case with this review. This past weekend (6 days into living in our new house) our downstairs bathroom began to flood from the ground up at around 9am on a Sunday. I immediately logged in to my 2-10 account to look for a phone number to call and way to get a plumber out on a Sunday in case of an emergency. I submitted a service request (where there was no way to mark emergency, but I could describe what was happening - our house was flooding) and the form's automated response was... Read More

My grandmother purchased a home warranty with her house, AC compressor failed on 4 May. As of 16 June they say it will be 3 more weeks for the compressor to come in because it is on back order. The original compressor that came in was wrong and I found out today that the original service company cut out the old compressor over a month ago and left the refrigeration system sealed with only electrical tape. I can get the compressor through my business in 4 days and install it but they refuse to pay my actual cost for the compressor with no mark up. They said they will only pay about $450 less than my cost. There are 3 people with medical issues living in the house. My grandmother is 78. The... Read More

I've been in my home for less than 2 years and they have had to come out and "fix" my ice maker twice. Well it's broke again and they want me to pay another $100.00 to come out and fix the same problem. Since it's been over a calendar year from my renewal date to the last date they fixed this problem I have to pay the deductible again which I'm not doing! While I understand policies and procedures I don't understand why they couldn't waive the fee since this issue has been reported a third time. Maybe if they didn't send an incompetent contractor to fix the ice maker the FIRST and SECOND time I wouldn't be so irritated. The supervisor had the nerve to tell me "well it's been fixed for 10... This in one of the worst companies for Home Warranty. I have a issue with water dispenser in the refrigerator and it's been going on for 7 months, can you believe it. After 3 visits by different contractors assigned by them, its still not working. Finally they tell me it's design issue and its not covered and I should contact GE the manufacturer. When I call them,I am transferred to different departments with a wait time of over 45 minutes. Not sure how I can get this resolved? Water dispenser issue in refrigerator, is a design issue, is a worst excuse ever heard.

I put in a service request on May 4 for our air conditioning. It is May 26 and it still has not been fixed. I've been on hold their purchasing department for 126.93 minutes and still counting. I've spoken with numerous people who have been friendly, professional, informative about the delay, but that has not changed the fact that this request is over 22+ days old. I was told that nothing could be done for another 3 days before the part that was mailed to the wrong location can be resent which will add more time. That will put this service request at around the 30 day mark.

We went online to file a work order for our dryer three days later we got a response that we would be contacted by Service repair company to set up appt to repair. After Technicians diagnosis it told us it would be 2 weeks to get parts, we waited 2 weeks heard nothing i called and they were surprised to hear from me saying that the parts were never ordered. it took almost 4 weeks to schedule appt to do the repair on our Dryer. I kept calling about the issue and finally they told me they had an error in ordering the parts on their end, they did however refund my $75 service fee. I am looking at other Home warranty Companies, problem is most have the same complaints across the reviews... Read More
