2-10 HBW’s home warranties, unlike many competitors, exclusively offers hybrid plans. Although the number of covered items advertised are on the low side, their lack of an annual cap makes up for it. Three home warranty plans are available: Appliances Only, HVAC + Water Heater, and Everything Together. The Everything Together plan includes all items from Appliances Only and HVAC + Water Heater, but also includes plumbing and electrical panels and wiring.

Specialty Items and Additional Coverage

2-10 HBW also features many specialty items as add ons. These include roof leaks, pre-season HVAC tune-up, additional HVAC system, additional refrigerator, built-in wine cooler, freestanding freezer, wet bar refrigerator, ceiling fans, exhaust fans, attic fans, burglar and fire alarms, garage door opener, water softener, septic system, well pump, pool/spa freshwater, and pool/spa saltwater.

2-10 HBW offers an ‘Even If’ Service Fee Guarantee. ‘Even If’ an item is not eligible for coverage, and 2-10 HBW dispatches a service contractor, the homeowner may request reimbursement of the service fee. ‘Even If’ also means if the same part that was serviced fails again within the term of the home warranty, the homeowner will not pay another service fee.

Additionally, 2-10 HBW offers Bonus Appliance Coverage:

Appliance Color Match – when replacing an appliance, the function, capacity and efficiency of the previous appliance will be matched, as well as the color.
Appliance Replacement Offer – when placing a service request for a covered appliance, you may proceed with the service request OR initiate the Appliance Replacement Offer. 2-10 HBW will give the homeowner a check for $100 to apply toward a brand new appliance instead of completing the appliance repair.
Appliance Discount Program – homeowners can save up to 65% on new GE®, Whirlpool®, KitchenAid®, Jenn-Air®, Maytag®, Gladiator® brands and more.

I cannot even begin to express my frustration with this company. If you are looking for a home warranty company, DO NOT GO WITH 2-10. This company has mastered the art of scamming their customers with offering 'Supreme' coverage that is written clear as day in black and white writing with your coverage options. However, you'll get a call saying you're not covered for reasons X, Y, Z. I will be cancelling my agreement IMMEDIATELY. Background information for everyone: my HVAC system was leaking. Looked at my coverage and said I was covered. Great, but now due to those issues, my ceiling has significant damage due to the water from the HVAC unit. After being on hold for hours, no one was able... Read More

DO NOT EVER USE THESE PEOPLE, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, OR THE CONTRACTORS MONEY, AND IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO WEASEL OUT OF PAYING FOR THE REPAIR. THEY WILL SAY THAT THEY ONLY FACILITATE A CONVERSATION BETWEEN YOU AND THE CONTRACTOR, AND IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THE CONTRACTOR'S EVALUATION OF YOUR PROBLEM, YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM $1,000 UP FRONT FOR AN ARBITRATION CONVERSATION, WHICH GUARRANTEES NOTHING. IN THE END YOU ARE SCREWED EITHER WAY.

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. I’ve been waiting for a month after the repair company has diagnose the issue and mandated what would need to be done to repair it. I could’ve paid for this out-of-pocket and had it done 4 weeks ago; Even conducting a three-way call between the company that is servicing the repair and 210 has been completely useless. There’s a complete disconnect between the customer service and the ordering department. I’m now calling for the fifth time, after countless hours on hold over the better part of a month. All for an associate to tell me the same song and dance; they can’t directly contact purchasing. This problem from my... Read More

On June 10, 20020, submitted a service request for a central air conditioning that wasn't cooling properly. Received notification that a service company had been notified, and would call within 24 hours. 3 days later no one had called, so I called and they gave me the name of another service company and they would call withing 24 hours. After a couple of days still no call. The AC was cooling enough that I cancelled the work order. Then it failed completely on July 4, 2020. I submitted a request for another work order, and they gave me the name of one of the same service companies, and we were notified that it would be 2-3 days before we had service. Needless to say, it came out of my... Read More

I first filed a service request for my washing machine on 04/27/2020, date of this compliant is 07/08/2020. Two separate contractors were sent to my home to perform diagnostics but never rendered services. I have followed up with 2-10 almost on a daily basis via service updates and calls but how been tossed between over 10 different contractors . The majority of the contractors I have been dispatched to have never followed up with me and I just get reassigned. The last contractor assigned scheduled a diagnostic visit, but was a no-call no-show despite numerous attempts to reach them via phone and text. The first contractor that came to my house started the machine, but they washing machine... Read More

This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I placed a service request for my air conditioner on 5/23/2020. It has been over a month with my upstairs being over 85 degrees and it is still not fixed. I have contacted 2-10 multiple times and after the contractor finally came out 2-10 ordered the wrong part after waiting weeks for the part to come in. Then they "re-ordered" the part but guess what? They didn't. I have sat on hold for over 6 hours so far and am currently calling, sitting on hold, and then being disconnected. There is no other way to get ahold of anyone, to speak to a human being. A supervisor was supposed to call me after I sat on hold for 4 hours last week. I was... Read More

I do NOT recommend this company that YOU requested to service our AC. I have breathing issues and NEED the AC working. Per our contract, it does not cover emergency repairs. When we called about an appointment, we were told we had to wait another day. If it was an emergency, they would come out today. I’m not paying for an emergency service because our warranty doesn’t cover emergency’s. The contract SHOULD cover emergency repairs as situations can happen at any time, day, night or weekends. We have contacted another company to resolve our issue.

A few weeks ago summer temperatures reached mid 90s and our AC stopped cooling. We placed a service request on 6/6/20 on the 2-10 online site. Internal temperatures reached 90 degrees in the house and we work from home due to Covid. The contractor assigned (LK Mechanical) had been previously assigned when the same failure occurred the previous summer. The contractor had never reached out nor could be reached the previous time, and the same occurred again. After being unable to reach the contractor to schedule an appointment (90 deg still in the house), the warranty company said they could/would not assign the request to another contractor until the full allotted time had expired that... Reported intermittent failure of AC on June 5. Contractor came out and replaced a capacitor on 8th. The AC failed completely on June 10. Repairman diagnosed bad compressor. Replacement compressor ordered by 2-10 going to take 11 days to arrive. The temperature in Scottsdale is 106 to 112 F. 2-3 weeks to repair an AC unit Phoenix is unacceptable. Have paying premiums for 5-6 years - this is a total scam. Oh and its impossible to get hold of anyone to complain.
