2-10 HBW’s home warranties, unlike many competitors, exclusively offers hybrid plans. Although the number of covered items advertised are on the low side, their lack of an annual cap makes up for it. Three home warranty plans are available: Appliances Only, HVAC + Water Heater, and Everything Together. The Everything Together plan includes all items from Appliances Only and HVAC + Water Heater, but also includes plumbing and electrical panels and wiring.

Specialty Items and Additional Coverage

2-10 HBW also features many specialty items as add ons. These include roof leaks, pre-season HVAC tune-up, additional HVAC system, additional refrigerator, built-in wine cooler, freestanding freezer, wet bar refrigerator, ceiling fans, exhaust fans, attic fans, burglar and fire alarms, garage door opener, water softener, septic system, well pump, pool/spa freshwater, and pool/spa saltwater.

2-10 HBW offers an ‘Even If’ Service Fee Guarantee. ‘Even If’ an item is not eligible for coverage, and 2-10 HBW dispatches a service contractor, the homeowner may request reimbursement of the service fee. ‘Even If’ also means if the same part that was serviced fails again within the term of the home warranty, the homeowner will not pay another service fee.

Additionally, 2-10 HBW offers Bonus Appliance Coverage:

Appliance Color Match – when replacing an appliance, the function, capacity and efficiency of the previous appliance will be matched, as well as the color.
Appliance Replacement Offer – when placing a service request for a covered appliance, you may proceed with the service request OR initiate the Appliance Replacement Offer. 2-10 HBW will give the homeowner a check for $100 to apply toward a brand new appliance instead of completing the appliance repair.
Appliance Discount Program – homeowners can save up to 65% on new GE®, Whirlpool®, KitchenAid®, Jenn-Air®, Maytag®, Gladiator® brands and more.

We purchased a new home and the seller bought the Supreme Coverage Policy at a cost of $599.00. On March 20, 2020, I contacted 2-10 Home Warranty Company concerning our heat pump and asked them to send a contactor. They were not able to get a contractor (2-10 contacted 3 different CONTRACTORS that would not come)so 2-10 asked me & sent email to me stating they wanted me to locate a contractor who would come out. I found a contactor through BBB in our local area and they came out within 2 hours. This company then turned in the required information on our equipment along with price in which to replace the HVAC. We found that the compressor had locked up and there had been other electrical... I use 2-10 Home Warranty through my rental manager. We have only made one claim for a refrigerator that they insisted on repairing the unit as opposed to replacing. They sent a technician out who troubleshot the refrigerator and identified parts to be replaced. 2-10 was completely unresponsive at that point and their technician fell off the face of the earth. Their lack of response was obviously them not wanting to replace the unit and I felt like I was slow rolled into having to make a decision. After 2 weeks, I couldn’t let my tenant wait any longer without a refrigerator so I purchased a new one and as you might expect, 2-10 only reimbursed me for the technicians ESTIMATED repair... Don't waste your money! My 28 cu ft French door refrigerator, which was purchased 4 years ago for $2,500, went out 2/15/20. After waiting several weeks for the part and the service contractor to install it, the problem wasn't fixed. More parts were ordered and installed the end of March. It worked the month of April and went out again 5/5/20. More parts were ordered but the service contractor said he couldn't guarantee that the problem would be found or fixed. After numerous calls to 2-10 and being placed on hold for 45+ minutes each time, an unanswered email to the account executive, and living 2 months without a working refrigerator, we finally got through to someone who said... I had a leak under the kitchen sink that could not be stopped. I have an older home with no main water shut off valve and the leak was coming from the valve under the sink. The water was leaking down behind the cabinet and causing damage. 2-10 set me up with a company that could not come out for several days. They also could only come on weekdays during work hours and could not even call before they came so I could make arrangements. I called 2-10 and asked if they could send someone else. She said sure but it would be another 24hrs before it was reassigned and weekends did not count. I asked if I could find someone to come complete the repair on my own. They said sure. I asked about my... Read More

I've had the worst experience. Poorest customer service (some nice people, but all incompetent) and they don't follow through on what they say they are going to do. All timeframes I've been given have been completely blown. ("3-5 days" really means 10-15 days.) For my one and only claim, I've had to call them almost daily to keep them on track. They can't seem to get it together!

We have had 2-10 for 16years as we purchased our home new and kept the warranty. We pay for Supreme Protection which covers everything you can imagine going wrong and things you did not even think of needing, such as permits. As we have never had another warranty company, I cannot speak to what their contracts cover, but we have yet to have a problem that is not covered. They started out wonderful. Issues resolved in timely manner and good customer service. Problem with a contractor? Not with 2-10 as they would immediately get a new one out and overnight parts if they needed to. Wrong parts? No worries, again they would make it right. Well the honeymoon is over. They have replaced... Read More

The management of complains are very bad, my dishwasher is broken since 3 weeks ago, the first service came twice and did not solve the problem, they sent a second that did not appear, the service is a complete disaster, I called to complain and they just offered another contractor or wait and see if they appear.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS WARRANTY. If you have a minor leak or any MINOR problem, fine. But if you have a MAJOR issue and something needs to be replaced, THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR OWN AGREEMENT.

Never answer the phone and they make filing claims a nightmare. They essentially force you to use their associated contractors, rather actually providing any kind of warranty - thus they are not a warranty company but a trap.

Mr.. Will I've had good experience working with 2-10 , but it might a been because of the contractor sent out to do the work. He wrote up the heating unit needed to be replaced. 2-10 wanted to just replaced the cracked Heat exchanger part but the contracted insisted that wouldn't work because of the age of the unit (Original unit). Now I'm having Multiply problems Dn stairs A/C unit not cooling along with my Kit Appliance Elect, Cooktop Failure and Built-in Microwave Oven Failure. Wish me Luck. All though all Tech appt have been schedule 24 hours after I file my Claims. I'll rate them after this after this experience. Mr. Will.
