2-10 HBW’s home warranties, unlike many competitors, exclusively offers hybrid plans. Although the number of covered items advertised are on the low side, their lack of an annual cap makes up for it. Three home warranty plans are available: Appliances Only, HVAC + Water Heater, and Everything Together. The Everything Together plan includes all items from Appliances Only and HVAC + Water Heater, but also includes plumbing and electrical panels and wiring.

Specialty Items and Additional Coverage

2-10 HBW also features many specialty items as add ons. These include roof leaks, pre-season HVAC tune-up, additional HVAC system, additional refrigerator, built-in wine cooler, freestanding freezer, wet bar refrigerator, ceiling fans, exhaust fans, attic fans, burglar and fire alarms, garage door opener, water softener, septic system, well pump, pool/spa freshwater, and pool/spa saltwater.

2-10 HBW offers an ‘Even If’ Service Fee Guarantee. ‘Even If’ an item is not eligible for coverage, and 2-10 HBW dispatches a service contractor, the homeowner may request reimbursement of the service fee. ‘Even If’ also means if the same part that was serviced fails again within the term of the home warranty, the homeowner will not pay another service fee.

Additionally, 2-10 HBW offers Bonus Appliance Coverage:

Appliance Color Match – when replacing an appliance, the function, capacity and efficiency of the previous appliance will be matched, as well as the color.
Appliance Replacement Offer – when placing a service request for a covered appliance, you may proceed with the service request OR initiate the Appliance Replacement Offer. 2-10 HBW will give the homeowner a check for $100 to apply toward a brand new appliance instead of completing the appliance repair.
Appliance Discount Program – homeowners can save up to 65% on new GE®, Whirlpool®, KitchenAid®, Jenn-Air®, Maytag®, Gladiator® brands and more.

For sixteen years, we have been a 2-10 Home Buyer's Warranty customer. When you need minimal repairs, they're quick to respond, but if major work is needed, you have to put up a constant fight to get the job done. We have been trying to get our air conditioning unit repaired since 8/16/2021. The recommended repair company appears to be incompetent to do the repairs. 2-10 told us that since they have paid the repair company and they guarantee their work, we're stuck with trying to get our air conditioning repaired. This type of customer service experience is very harsh and unrealistic to put your customer through this turmoil. We have difficulty getting the repair company to come out, and... Read More

This company does not or will not replace your warranty covered item with another new unit. My Kitchen Aide double oven mother-board went out and they sent off to be fixed and it could not be fixed. The part was no longer produce (manufactured) so it was discontinued and they would only pay me for the cost of the part. They would not pay me their policy limit for replacement of the appliance (which was $3,000) because under their contract, it states that it is their sole discretion to pay for replacement of unit. I spoke with 5 claim reps and management and they just stated that they would only pay me for part. I asked what was I to do with the money if part is discontinued and my oven... Read More

MY NIGHTMARE WITH 2-10 Today, it has been 3 months (4/12/2021) since I first called to request service for my HVAC. Since that day, I have not had appropriate cooling or heat in my house. Since April 12, there have been 50 days where the temperature outside was over 80 degrees (April 3 days, May 14 days, June 19 days, and so far in July 14 days). I live with my wife, an adult son, with cystic fibrosis, and 6 dogs. I have a heart condition that requires that I exercise and not have stress. Let’s just say, that before this started I did not need heart surgery and now, I will be having heart surgery on August 4rth. My son is my biggest worry. Due to his cystic fibrosis, his lungs... Extremely terrible!! Highly unprofessional. Placed a clain on 6/27/2021 and after 2.5 weeks still not replaced.. To replace my water heater, had to go through 2 contractors, > 3 weeks delay and without hotwater, dishwasher and Washer and Dryer. Absolutely insane experience.. Not sure How I am able write this review in such a calm fashion after what I have gone through.. First contractor quoted high costs, Second contractor was almost 1/2 the cost.. However 2-10 Home warranty purchasing department ordered incorrect water heater, despite of communication after inspection from contractor and me, sharing pictures of the issue in the service request.. Look for other warranty companies.. we... Read More

If I could, 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty would get zero stars from me. I am completely dissatisfied with this company. I purchased my home warranty in full, last year on July 15, 2020 when I bought my home. Let's fast forward to May 21, 2021 the day I first created a service request for my dishwasher. (I have not used my dishwasher since I've been in my home. Apparently, it wasn't working long before I knew about it.) The contractor came out May 25, 2021 and informed me that I needed a new control board. I asked him, Robert, a contractor from Premier Services Of Arkansas LLC, about how long it would take for him to order the part. He responds, "It'll take about a week." Okay, no... Read More

I have had nothing but trouble with this home warranty company. Problems are numerous, starting with difficulty getting someone to answer the phone, holding on the phone for almost an hour each time, bouncing you from one department to another for more hold time, using every excuse in the book to either delay or avoid doing the repair, lack of concern for customer's safety and comfort, and the list goes on. Having spent most of last Summer without A/C due to their lack of ethics and incompetence was the last straw. Will not renew with this scam organization.

Do NOT do business with this company. I’ve been waiting for over 2 months for my microwave to be repaired or replaced and I just keep being told the same story. I need to wait for a phone call or email that never comes. The contractor that was sent out told me he does not want to work with them anymore and refuses to complete the job.

Good Luck, absolutely the worst company I have ever tried to deal with. Not sure why they are allowed to conduct business at all.
